Indecisive 2: Back Up Plan (3)

Whitney POV:

Song- Collide: Leona Lewis

My mind was still replaying the events of yesterdays lunch and mindless time driving around town for no good reason but to simply spend time together. Perhaps the best part being the way he walked me to my doorstep, despite his insisting it wasn't a date, and hugged me goodnight.

I know it was probably stupid but I wanted him to text me first to make plans.

I caved in at noon.

'Sorry got some things to do. Maybe another time.'

I let out a sigh as I read the text over three times before resting my phone back on the coffee table.

Back up plan it is.

. . .

I swung my bag over my left shoulder as I stepped into the gym.

Two things in particular led me here.

One, Harry was busy and I didn't exactly feel like explaining everything to Maddz and the girls right now.

And two, I had a gut feeling he would be here too.

I was right.

Music played softly over the overhead speakers as I made my way out from the locker room to the row of treadmills.

Three from the right his eyes caught mine in the large paneled glass mirror. His mouth gaping slightly as he turned down the pace to a walking speed from a steady sprint.

My heart was pounding loud in my chest but I refused to let it show in my voice.

"Hey Andy."

"Wh-" he paused, quickly stopping the machine, "what are you doing here?"

"Working out," I smirked.

"You don't 'work out'" Andy air quoted.

"Sure I do." I retaliated.

"No, no you don't," Andy refuted, "you only come here when-"

"Excuse me are you using this?" A female pointed to the treadmill Andy was on.

"No," he swiped up his iPod, "I'm done."

His gaze intensely met mine, "why are you really here?" He asked a little more demanding this time. Loud enough to catch the attention of three or four people around us.

"Lockers?"

Andy nodded as I led him into the back room.

The adrenaline in me was slowly fading and all that was replacing it was nerves and anxiety.

God I hope I don't regret this.

. . .

Andy POV:

My eyes grazed over her gym attire as I followed behind her.

Loose tee, I cringed to myself as the baggy size of it made it blatantly obvious it wasn't hers. Which only meant one thing, it was indeed his.

"You shouldn't be here." I informed her.

"I know that," she snapped her neck around as we stepped foot into the otherwise empty locker room.

I stared back in silence, waiting for an elaboration.

"We need to talk about...everything." She sighed unevenly.

"We already have."

"That was before," she fiddled with her nails, looking down at the tilted floor, "before the accident." She spoke so low I almost missed it.
