Recap of 18:
"H-H-How long have y-you been standing t-there?"
I take a step forward as she slowly takes a step back.
"Babe-" I reach out for her hand but she flinches back.
Silence saying more than words ever could.

Song- Between: Courrier
Whitney POV:
I twirled my straw around my glass in a daze when a deep voice caused me to look up.
The waiter was standing at the edge of the table as he placed another glass of water beside my empty one. Harry's and my dish in either hand.
"Fish and chips," I smile as he looks between me and the ticket on the tray.
"Thanks," he chuckled before placing our dishes on the table.
"Can I get you anything else dear?"
"No everything looks good." I assure before he departs the table and heads back towards the kitchen.
I tap my phone.
Harry should be back by now it's been- at least ten minutes.
I didn't feel right starting to eat without him. Maybe I should just freshen up real quick.
I weave between the tables following the way I saw Harry go earlier for I don't see any other signs pointing towards the restroom.
"I'll just give her the money myself."
My brow narrow as I stopped dead in my tracks, following the voice to his frame.
He began to speak again but I couldn't hear from the restaurant chatter so I stepped into the doorframe.
"Nothings stopping me from..."
I was torn between opening my mouth to speak but the other half of me could tell whoever he was talking to it must be important-
"Julie!" He yelled into the line.
I moved my hand to my chest as the unsettled feeling something wasn't right about this call took a turn, a plummet.
Harry turns around and the instant his eyes meet mine the color drains from his face.
"H-How long h-have you been standing there?"
I swallow unable to anything except stare at him in utter confusion.
Why did he say her name-
Who was really on the phone?
No.
"Babe-"
I can't. The step he drawls forward leads me to take one back.
I take a deep breath in an attempt to control the anxiety building in my chest. Finally I force myself to speak.
"W-Who were you talking to?"
His lips press to a thin line as he attempts to take another step toward but I raise my hand and he stays put, "I can explain. Whatever you heard...I-I can explain."
An older lady walks between us to the restroom door to the left. As soon as she disappears behind the door I open my mouth to speak, not holding back on the repugnance in my tone.
