Chapter 20: Guilt Trip

**For Julie I picture her as Phoebe Tonkin let me know if u had anyone better in mind :)**

Recap of 19:

"There's...actually something I need to tell you too."

I gulp, placing my box down on the coffee table before turning to face her completely. She shifts up so she's sitting pretzel style, resting her hands in my lap before opening her mouth to speak.

-Run: Snow Patrol

I pull my legs in tighter while my fingers latch around the top of the blanket.

"I-I got a job."

I wait a moment to meet his gaze unsure of how he will respond.

"You-" Harry stammers before asking. "Why?"

"Because I need one Harry," as I speak the conversation is somehow already me feel exhausted.

"You didn't have too..."

"But I wanted to," I tell him reaching for his hand.

"I won't get to see you as much," he frowns cutely.

"Neither will I when the tour picks back up." I defend calmly.

"Of course you will. You'll come with me." He says like it's the most obvious thing in the world.

I shake my head pulling my hand away slightly, "no Harry."

"What do you mean...no?" He says in offense.

"Visit you, yeah. But come with you for two months, no."

Harry rakes his fingers through his chestnut curls in distress

"W-Why not?"

"Because I just couldn't. For a lot of reasons Harry."

"Like?"

"It doesn't matter anyways there's still a while before it comes," I try to convince myself and him at the same time.

"Whitney."

"Look at me."

"I don't want to talk about it okay."

Harrys nails skim up my forearm, "Whit-"

My eyes stare down at the box of food in my lap before finally looking back up to him.

I don't know how I'll do it without him, hell I am barely holding on with him.

"Just think about it, okay?"

"I already said-"

His expression slowly fades to a frown and I can't fully break all of his hope right now.

"Okay," I agree.

His smile returns quicker than it faded.

"I care about you so much. You know that right?" Harrys eyes burn into my soul.

"Of course," I respond but a part still feels missing. He's never- said it- those three words. At least I don't think he has, I'm still not sure if that night in his room was just my imagination.

He moves my box of food, sitting it back on the coffee table next to his before bringing his lips down to mine.

I wrap my arm behind his neck, unfolding my legs just as he spreads his knees on the outside of my hips.
