Recap of Chapter 15:
"Whitney cancelled her last two scheduled dates."
"No, you must have looked up the wrong person. Her name is Whitney. Whitney D-e-a-m-s."
"There's no mistake. Have a nice day sir."
"But wai-"
A steady beep fills the line, everything pilling onto my confusion to the point where I don't know what the fuck to believe anymore.

Whitney POV:
Song- Run Away: Cary Brothers
I woke up no longer in the warmth of Harry's body in which radiated from his chest. I made my way down the steps unsure of he if had already left.
As I stepped into the kitchen I stopped midstep as I studied Harry seated at the bar, back muscles contracting with each breath..
His head was tilted down looking at something infront of him.
"Morning." I said walking through the wooden frame.
When he didn't turn around to face me I felt my stomach sink down.
"Harry," I whispered close enough now to place my hand on his left shoulder.
My eyes peered down infront of him seeing his phone and then a small square note with writing- wait that wasn't- that isn't-
My eyes darted to the front of the fridge, an empty space where it once was, when Harry finally turns in his seat.
"When were you going to tell me?" He calmly asks.
I swallow as my body stills.
"Why do you have that?" My finger points down to the phone number written on the piece of paper.
"What's going on here Whitney?"
The air somehow manages to grow twice as silent.
"What do you mean? I told you I forgot to call."
"Don't bother with the bullshit."
His harsh words feel like a knife to my chest.
"You've been acting different lately."
"I should have known." Harry shakes his head.
"It's just a fucking broken thermostat I don't see what the big ass deal is." I snap in anger to avoid being upset.
"It's more than that. I can see when you are trying to hide things. Your hiding something else." Harry accuses.
"I forgot to call big fucking deal-"
"You canceled. Twice. There's a big difference."
"You- Ho-How do you even know that?" I shake my head, fisting my hands at my sides in anger.
"Does it matter?"
"Actually it does," I meet his glare.
"I was going to call and make arrangements myself since you seemed to be soo busy."
It was happening already.
Somehow it was happening before I even knew it had started.
"See that's exactly why I didn't tell you! Y-You always try to fix things."
