Chapter 2: Explanations

Explanations

Everything was blurry. Martyn opened his eyes to a world of blurriness. He sat up and instantly his head throbbed. The pain was so bad that he laid back down on...grass? His eyes opened wide as he searched the ground with his hands.

All he felt was grass, he felt all alone, unable to get up. He just laid there with a major headache when he heard a weak moan, followed by strange noise and a shout.

"Ahhhh!" There was a loud thud and then silence. Martyn gathered his strength to turn onto his side. He saw Nilesy laying on top of his bagpipes. There was another noise but from the bushes behind Nilesy.

A tall man in an orange outlined spacesuit with a perfectly trimmed goatee. "Oh, I see your majesty and the musician is awake." The mysterious man said with a smile as Martyn attempted to push himself off the ground again. "Woah, Woah, Hey now, don't get up. You're still weak."

"Who are you?" Martyn's voice was strained from the pain, but was able to get up before sighing in relief.

The spacesuit man smiled and replied, "I'm Sjin, the village builder from your kingdom. You may have met my brother who was the city builder. Brown hair, wore golden googles on his head, he dressed up sprightly for a builder. Always having a smile on his face."

Martyn sat there staring at the man known as 'Sjin'. "You're the builder's brother?" He was very confused; he thought that the builder was an only child. "He's never spoken of you."

Sjin's face was filled with guilt and regret. "Yeah,umm, last time I saw him we were in a fight." Martyn looked at him attentively to hinting Sjin that he wanted to know more. "Well, I met a friend who lives far away in another country. It's more technologically advanced with complicated machines. He needed someone to help him run his company after it became famous. You might have heard of it; it's called Sipsco."

"Wait you mean the Sipsco.?" Nilesy was sitting next to his instrument listening to Sjin.

"Yeah, I'm friends with and a coworker of Sips." Sjin smiled as he told them about his job. He handled all of the machinery whilst Sips 'handled' the business in his fancy office, alone, in the dark, on a soft chair, where it is easy to fall asleep. "I also have an office where I do the paper work that Sips doesn't have time for. I handle the expenses, how to raise money, all of the finances, the permits, almost all of the paperwork."

"Well, if ya ever need a pool, I can make you one." Nilesy had walked over to them and sat down with a smile.

"Sure, but you'll have to pass the pool boy test chamber tests first."

Martyn stood up with only little difficulty. "That's all fine and dandy, but why exactly are we in the middle of nowhere!" Martyn was furious; his kingdom was burning and he was kidnapped by this joker for no reason. "I could have saved my kingdom, but they're all probably dead now thanks to you! Y-You-Ya bloody git!" He tackled Sjin with his sword in hand. Sjin yelped has he felt pain on his head as he was slammed into the ground.

"I-I didn't want to! I was forced to!" Sjin was under the prince with tears streaming down his face. Martyn held the tip of the sword to Sjin's neck hinting for the spaceman to talk. "I-It It was R-ridge!" He squirmed as he confessed the name, attempting to get loose.

YAY!!! Chapter 2 is out! Well, now you know another Goone is going to be in this. :)
