Chapter 11: Flashback

Hey! Sorry for being late. There's been a lot of homework(minecraft...) distracting me, so I hope this one makes up for the lack of chapter. Oh and...877 reads!

Chapter 11: Flashback


*unknown POV*

"Master...he's coming!" My carminite servant called to me.

"Yes, I know. I brought him here after all." He's an imbecile. I knew I should have brought the ghastguard instead. A green glow became present in the room and there he was, King Martyn of the Saplings. "So glad you could join me." He landed on his feet in front of my throne.

"Who are you? Where am I?" He asked me. I could still see a faint glow around him.

"You don't know? The Guild Master didn't tell you?! I'm your brother, Toby."


*Rythian's POV*

Jumping through the portal was a bit strange. It felt like water, but didn't burn. I could see Martyn floating far away, still glowing, towards a barely visible tower.

"Ahhhh!" I spin around and see Lewis fall out of the portal and onto his back. "Ugh, Ridge pushed me in." He sighed and got up.

"Why did Ridge push you in?" I ask.

"I don't bloody know! I didn't even know he was following us!"

"You didn't? Oh, well, let's get going. I saw him flying over that way." We started walking for around an hour in silence.

"How exactly do you know he went this way?" He broke the silence.

"I saw him head over to that castle." After he nodded in reply I asked, "wanna set up camp here?" He nodded again. After we sent up camp, I tried to use my magic, but it didn't work. "Huh, my powers don't work."

"What do you mean by powers?" He leaned forwards on the log he was sitting on.

"Look, Xephos. Don't freak out, but I'm an Enderborn." He leaned farther with a look of confusion.

"Oh? What's that?"

"You don't know? Enderborns are one of the most feared monsters in Minecraftia and the other kingdoms and realms." He looked at his feet. "Where are you from? Aerith called you spaceman. What's that?"

He shifted his feet and stood up to pace around our fire. "I am technically from space." He pointed into the sky. "I was first officer on our galactic ship, which was a majestic ship. We discovered this strange planet where physics didn't always 'work' so to say and filled with resources. I was to captain a small shuttle with a team of ten and descend upon the planet and explore." His eyes were glowing a bright blue as he spoke, but then they dimmed as a tear went down his cheek. "After we launched...there was an explosion. I looked out the window and saw our ship torn in half. Then there was another explosion, but on our shuttle. Six of us survived as we headed to the planet below. I couldn't steer us away...the shuttle was too broken." At this point he began to weep, but stood strong. "We crashed on the planet and only me and two others survived. Their names were Dave and Madeowyn. Madeowyn was too young, but she died later that night, painlessly, she couldn't feel her body. Dave was unconscious the whole time until he died. I will never forget the look on his face." He crumbled and collapsed to his knees. "He woke up with a start and shouted, 'Captain, I think the ship was hit! What should we do!?' He was delirious and I didn't know what to do! I froze as he stood and walked away! I should have seen the massive blood stain before! Instead I just let him walk to his death...and tumbled over the edge of a ravine. I sat there at the edge staring at him, laying there, not moving.... I was there for days. I heard a noise and hoped it was creeper to kill me, to bring me out of my misery. I decided to look over anyway for some reason and saw a young and sad dwarf walking through the forest." His face had a slight smile behind the tears. "We've been friends ever since then. Though I never told him my story." He quickly stood back up, "sorry, I shouldn't have gone in that much detail, so good night." He climbed into his tent to sleep, but I heard him weep to himself.

Sorry for a long paragraph, I really want to have back stories for all of the characters because this fanfic isn't only about Martyn, it's about the Yogscast as well.
