Chapter 4: Xephos and Honeydew

Xephos and Honeydew

"Honeydew! Where are you!" Xephos shouted followed by the gasps and moans of the hellgate behind him. After a week of chasing the honeydew clones Xephos and Honeydew discovered a new hellgate in the Nether which led to the border of a forest. Xephos surveyed the area as a dwarf tumbled out of the hellgate. "Hey friend, what took so long?" Xephos crouched next to something on the ground.

"I was attempting to catch up with ya on my stumpy dwarf legs, but ya kept running." Honeydew complained while looking at the oblivious xephos. "What are you lookin' at?"

Xephos stood up and turned to his friend with his 'thinking' look. "There's a set of foot prints and two tracks that look like bodies had been drug into the forest. Let's check it out." They then proceeded into the forest with Honeydew tripping over some roots and followed the trail. They kept walking for awhile before they heard voices very close. When they were about to step into the clearing, they heard a man say, "Xephos and Honeydew!" As if on cue, they walked into the clearing and was met with the shocked faces of the Sapling King and Nilesy.

"Uh, hello?" Xephos said extremely confused. "What the bloody hell is going on! First we're hunting down Israphel, then we chase the evil clones, and now we're in the middle of a forest with complete stranger! What the heck!"

"Allow me to explain." Ridgedog walked up to the heros. "This man with he beard is Sjin of Sipsco., the man with glasses is Nilesy the bagpipe man, and finally the Sapling King Martyn."

"Oh, well hi, I guess." He walked up to Nilesy and extended his hand. "I'm Xephos."

"Oh, I know! Who doesn't know who you guys are! Your legend has spread all across the world." Nilesy shook his hand vigorously.

"And Honeydew?" Nilesy extended his hand which Honeydew grasped strongly, almost braking his hand.

"I am he!" He shouted in his dwarfish accent while laughing merrily.

Ridgedog floated into the air and over to Martyn. "Now that everyone is here, I'll give you the map to the others. You will be able to find a few of them in..." He pulled out his pocket watch. "3...2...1..." *boom* There was a loud blast along with a huge mushroom cloud far away. Seconds later they could here a faint shout that sounded like, "Zoey!!!" Ridge opened a portal and said with a grin, "Good luck."
