Chapter 17: The Trip to the Franchise

The ride to the U.S.S. franchise was a long and quiet journey. Martyn sat in the corner of the transport ship, messing with his blue hair. Nilesy and Alphina talked and laughed about things and Toby studied the status report of the ongoing battle. "Hey, Martyn." Said a smiling Nilesy. "Take a look at this!" Everyone looked out of the window to see clouds everywhere. After a second, the clouds dispersed and an elegant castle was floating just above the clouds. Their were tiers of buildings that led to a tall tower. In front of the huge mahogany doors of the castle was a courtyard that had crystal clear waterfalls and rivers that tumbled off the edge of the platform and disappeared into the clouds below. The walls of the buildings were made of marble and the roofing was made of maroon coloured wood.

Martyn stared at the wonder before him in awe. "How could someone so twisted live in a place like that?" In the distance, they could see a gigantic battleship and a fleet of Skylord ships. "Is that where Xephos is?"

Toby looked out in the direction he was looking. "Yes. He is the last defence for Ridge." Toby tapped a few button on his holoboard and a 3D image of the battle appeared. Xephos is right here." He said indicating to one of many blue dots. "He is accompanied by Vice Admiral Honeydew. To left side of the battle, we have Captain Rythian and Commander Zoey with there platoon of Skylords. To the right, we have Captain Sips and Commander Sjin. In the middle, we have the Hat brothers. And finally on the front lines, we have Captain Skylord Lysander and Commander Skylord Jasper.

Martyn studied the map. "Well then, who are they?" He said pointing to a couple dots in the back.

"In the castle, Ridge is in the safety bunker with his brother Saeclum as his guard. In the courtyard, the Rail brothers are building defences. And that ship stationed at the castle is the Yoglabs airship. Professor Lewis Zephos, Simon Honeybeard DDH, and Doctor Duncan Lalna are researching new weapons and defence technology.

'Franchise to transport 1, I repeat Franchise to transport 1, do you copy?'

The pilot responded, "we read you loud and clear."

'Land in Landing Bay Alpha'

"Roger that."

The transport ship landed in the hanger and the airlock closed behind them. When the ship's doors opened, they saw Admiral Xephos standing their with honeydew. "Welcome back Martyn and Captain Toby!" He said with a grin. "I thought you would never wake up, it's good to see you. Now, Martyn, you should go to the infirmity. Lieutenant Alissa Aqua, please escort him. As for you a Toby, I will debrief you in one hour. You are dismissed."
