Chapter 20: Getting Info

With the scientist all rested, he packed the cloaking shield into the enemy looking transport and hopped in along with Martyn, Toby, Kim, and Nilesy to drive. Skylords were hiding behind different ships as the shields were lowered and the actual enemy ship entered. As soon as it landed, every gun in the room open fired at the engines which caught on fire and exploded with a few Reficule bodies flying out. They waited a while to make it seem like the enemy was succeeding. After half an hour, Nilesy took off towards the enemy base.

Martyn leaned towards Toby. "How did Israphel get so many ships to stand against Ridge?"

Toby looked at him, "Oh, so your talking to me again?" Martyn just looked away with a frown. "If you must know, the Reficules are Israphel's soldiers, but we don't know who they got the ships from. There is someone else on his team who is still anomynous."

Before Martyn could respond, the ship creaked and bounced as they neared the enemy's information base. "This is your pool boy speaking, please fasten you seat belts as we make our descent."

"We aren't in an aeroplane you know!" Shouted Lalna to Nilesy. He just snickered with a shrug. They landed safely and opened the door.

There was no one in the entire room. Toby leaned back into the ship. "There doesn't seem to be anyone in here, could they have made the same trap for us?" He said to Lalna.

"I don't think so. They might have a Reficule radar and noticed we weren't one of them." He replied. They all tensed at the thought of it. "Let's just get the information and get the hell out of here."

One by one, they climbed out of the ship and on to the rough floor of the base. They kept walking around empty halls until they reached a computer database. Again, no one was there. Duncan walked up to the machine as it lit up. "Good. It still has power." Duncan pulled a device from his pocket and shoved it into one of the ports. "Let's see here... Ah, yes, here we are. It seemed that most of the files have been deleted, but some are still here." He looked at the names of the remaining files and mumbled them to himself. "The status of the base... Soldier movement in the sector......" His eyes widened a little when he saw the next file. "Sips Co.?" He looked to the others. "There's information about Sips Co. on here. I also see something about clones, and a... Kirin Dave?" Duncan stood in thought. They had never heard of a Kirin Dave. He clicked on the file and a message appeared. *message corrupt* "Damn it, why is it corrupted!"

All of a sudden, a new voice entered the room. "Why hello there." A cloaked figure stood in the room. It's robe was dark grey and black, and ram horns were coming from his head. They also just noticed blood trails behind him that led to a pile of bodies. "I'm the Storm Sage. Who might you fellows be?"
