Chapter 12: An Attack

*Nilesy's POV*

We fell through the portal and landed on the edge of a dark forest. I looked into the forest and saw nothing but never ending darkness. Hearing a noise, I saw Alphina lying on the ground next to me. "Alphina, are you alright?" She groaned and slowly sat up.

"Are we there yet?" She asked me drowsily.

"No, not quite. Hey look a castle!" I could see this enormous castle on top of a tower. "C'mon!" I grabbed her by the hand, pulled her off the ground, and ran towards it. This world is weird, there were giant mushrooms everywhere, both red and brown. Thin trees branched outwards everywhere and there are giant trees that were so tall that they seemingly disappeared into the sky. "Wow, would you look at this scenery. I could open a pool shop 'ere!" Alphina giggled behind me. "What?"

"It sounded like you said pills."

"It did?" I could feel my cheeks turning red. "Hey look a fire!" I said, trying to change the subject.

*Duncan's POV* (surprise!)

I could hear an explosion in the distance. When I looked out of my tower I saw fire and smoke from Rythian's house filled the sky. Dread filled my body and I checked my remote for the nuke. I let it fall and shatter on the ground as I saw that the red light was off. The nuke exploded. "Duncan!!!" Rythian shouted in rage and it echoed all the way to my castle.

"Oh, no..." was all I could get out before I bolted for the door. I sealed the main door shut, activated the outer force field, activated the inner force field, ran into my bunker and activated the room's forcefield. All this wasn't to keep Rythian out, but keep Livid from escaping within me. I can feel him now, inching closer to my consciousness.

*Sjin's POV*

"Alright, Sips. I'll grab Zoey and you'll grab Honeydew."

"Aww, c'mon. Why do I have to grab the dwarf." He complained.

"You're stronger than I am, so I need your strength to handle the dwarf." I lied.

"Ok then, just leave that joker to me." He said with a grin and attempted to flex his 'muscles'.

"On a count of three alright?" He nodded in agreement. "One...two...three!" We charged at them, well...Zoey's unconscious, with weapons flailing in the air. We looked fearsome and cool.

"What are guys doing?" Honeydew squealed with terror, completely defenceless.

*Honeydew's POV*

Everyone vanished and I've been sitting 'ere for a good day or two waiting. I was just minding my own business when I heard Sjin behind a bush not too far off.

"Alright, Sips. I'll grab Zoey and you'll grab Honeydew." What on earth are they talking about?

"Aww, c'mon. Why do I have to grab the dwarf." He complained.

"You're stronger than I am, so I need your strength to handle the dwarf." That doesn't sound like something Sjin would say.

"Ok then, just leave that joker to me." It was hard for me not to laugh when Sips stood up with a smug grin and 'flexed' his 'muscles'

"On a count of three alright?" Sjin stood up as he drew a weapon. "One...two...three!" They charged at me, tripping over each other and fumbling with their weapons.

"Oi! What are you guys doing!?" I pulled out my axe, at least I'm not completely defenceless.
