Chapter 19: Let's see Lalna

Xephos frowned as he messed around on his hologram computer. "Now, I know he's your brother and all, but sending him to Ridge's castle would throw the whole battle into chaos. It was hard enough to get you and him here in the first place." He said as he scratched his beard. "And with your ship being gone now we can't replace it."

Toby stood there in defeat until an idea appeared in his head. "We could test Lalna's cloaking shield so that the enemy never sees us. Nilesy could quickly sneak us over and fly back." He explained whilst fiddling with the bottom of his shirt as Xephos stopped typing.

"Is this really the only way he'll help us?" Xephos asked. Toby stayed silent but simply nodded. With a sigh Xephos started typing again and said, "fine, but we'll be doomed if this fails. Like worse than Yoglab's first moon landing. Now get outta my office."

Martyn was leaning against the shuttle ship with his skin only slightly blue, but Toby pushed the thought aside. "What'd he say?"

Toby leaned next to him, "He said yes, but we have to bring Lalna and Nilesy with us. Now let's go before Lalna leaves." Martyn got up and started walking in the direction of the lab, his eyes avoiding Toby's. Toby just followed behind him without a word. When they approached the lab doors, it slide open to reveal Lewis.

"Oh, hey guys! Duncan said he wanted to see you, he said it's of 'the upmost important' or somethin'." He continued down the hallway as Martyn walked in. The lab was completely different from the hospital. There were pipe and wires running all over the place and huge containers three times the size of Martyn with bubbling noises coming from them. They kept walking until they saw a girl in a red flowery kimono and tied back hair with flowers. The first thing he noticed was the purple on her arms and half of her face. "Hey Toby! If you're looking for Duncan he's in the back. Soooo who's your blue friend?"

Toby stepped forward and threw his arm around Martyn, "this is my brother. Martyn!" Martyn just lifted Toby's arm off of him and took a few steps to the side. "We've been having issues."

Martyn scoffs, "I've apparently been frozen for 3 months and now I'm in the middle of a flippin' war! Why wouldn't I be upset?"

At that moment a door opens up as Lalna stumbles in, "Blasted wires! Nano, you need to tidy this place up." The door closed behind him, but Martyn saw more giant containers. They were different though, they had glass coverings and names labeled on the tops. The only ones he could see were 'Lewis Zephos', 'Simon Honeybeard', 'Sips Underscore', and 'Djh3max(Ross) Hat'. He would have sworn he saw a body in the closest one. "Hey Toby, it's good to see you again Martyn. Need something?"

"Yeah," Began Martyn, "What's in that room, I thought I saw a body in one."

Lalna's eyes became shifty as he tensed up, but then quickly smiled and said, "Oh just a project Lewis has me working on for Yoglabs. It's called Project: No One Lives For Ever, I think it sounds over dramatic, but that's all I can say. Anything else?"

Toby cleared his throat. "Yes, Admiral Xephos says that after our mission is over, we'll be testing that cloaking device you have." Lalna's eyes lit up and he slightly jumped as he giggled.

Kim just sighed at him. "If that's all, I think Duncan needs a bit of a rest... He hasn't in days."

Lalna laughed, "What? With you? Hahaha!" Kim blushed before slapping him in the face. "Ow, that hurt!"

So far I've been able to post a couple stories! :D Hopefully I'll be able to type more in the future. I'm stunned that the story has soo many reads because it's hard for me to understand people like my stuff. Thankyou guys so much! It means a lot! Hopefully you caught the Moonquest, Yoglabs and the Nanocoffee references ^^
