As soon as I was done cleaning stalls I ran towards my next chore - mainly so I could ditch Dusty. She didn't follow and that's when I noticed the sky getting gray and stormy like a Oreo blizzard. I noticed the crisp air and the breezy wind, I had to get done fast.
When I was younger I used to love storms, I still do. It's just now I realize the true danger of them, how tornados can form at any minute. Arizona is in tornado valley isn't it?
I shrugged and hurried to the other barn to grab the hay. Unfortunately the barn wasn't exactly close. In fact- it was a good walk for a teenage girl that sits around watching gossip girl at night.
Then it started to rain.
I was a bit shocked considering how fast it was coming down, so I ran towards the open barn door to stay dry. Rain was pelting my body from all directions, and somehow I managed to stay mildly dry.
"Karman?" I heard a voice ask from up in the hay loft. I was startled at first, but I instantly recognized his beautiful voice. Noah.
"Oh, hey Noah" I said directing my voice towards him. Even though the hay was kind of in the way I could still notice how handsome and hot he truly was - and just my luck too. He was wearing a white shirt again and I instantly assumed that's what his main wardrobe consisted of. Either way - Noah was insanely hot.
"Why don't you come up here with me, we can wait out the storm" Noah said pleasantly, in a way that made my hairs spike up. I smiled, and there was absolutely no way I was going to turn down his offer. I grabbed the rough wood ladder that led me to the hay loft and swiftly climbed up. I made sure I looked presentable as I planted myself on the lose pieces of straw so I was directly facing Noah.
Noah was sprawled out on a pile of blankets that looked very inviting, not to mention how attractive he looked sitting there. His shirt was pushed up just right that I could see a bit of his abs, and his butt resembles a round peach that I couldn't tear my eyes away from. Noah smiled but then he must've noticed my slight shivering so he waved his hand in my direction.
A loud crack of thunder erupted throughout the barn that made the boards creak, and the sky suddenly flashed bright with white light. I shuffled over to Noah quicker than I expected and sat down next to him, but not too close that we were touching.
"Do you like storms?" Noah asked me as we sat there. I couldn't stop thinking about how close we seemed to be, and how near our body's were. Lightning flashed through the sky once more.
"I love them. I think they're absolutely beautiful" I said while looking out through the window next to us. Noah glanced at me with a perfect smile on his lips.
"I think so too. Lots of people are afraid of them, but sometimes I think it's the most dangerous things that are the most beautiful" Noah said, and instantly I felt like I was taking a trip into his soul. His smile was so bright and lively that it no way compared to how fast the Lightning was. Every single hair on his head was perfect, and before I meant him I thought perfect wasn't a word.
"Remember when you asked me where I came from?" Noah said as he looked into my eyes again, and I did remember. I remember the night like clear day - He didn't answer me when I asked.
"Yeah, I remember" I said softly while looking back at him. His leg brushed against mine, and then he was scooting closer to me in a unnoticed way. His muscular arm wrapped around my shoulder making me tense.
"I lived in Ohio when I was younger, I loved hot wheels and I despised kids who considered themselves country. It was weird you know? How can someone be country when they live in Ohio?" Noah said, I completely understood what he was saying,
