"Son if we weren't on school grounds right now I'd slap the hell outta you."

Coach said to me once I finished explaining what I had done. I wanted to laugh at what he said, but he was right. I let my fear get in the way of my happiness and I don't even know if I'll get a shot at happiness now that I've acted like a complete idiot. I know ignoring Breanna wasn't a good move, hell it was a stupid one, but my head isn't in its right position. Ever since that fight between my parents and I, my little brother and I packed up some of our belongings and moved into a little apartment of mine given to me by my grandparents. I was only just in highschool and now I was living in a penthouse apartment, taking care of my little brother. And to top it all off the other night my little brother called me dad. I couldn't even say anything, but night to him and quickly exit the room.

"I want to slap me too, but I don't have the energy to."

My voice was barely audible and I looked like hell. I really didn't have much energy because taking care of a toddler took work, hard work.
Coach looked up from his computer and eyed taking in my appearance. I could tell from his eyes he was concerned and he had some questions, but he kept his mouth shut.

"How about you go in the back room and get some sleep. I'll pick up Braxton today and when you wake up better do what you need to do."

"But Coach what about practice?"

"Practice should be the last of your worries son. Now go on in the back and get some rest."

This time I didn't object, I stood up from the chair I was sitting in and dragged myself to the back, laying down on the small bed letting my body fall into a deep slumber.

As soon as I stepped through the door leading into my room I immediately went into my bathroom. Roughly taking off the makeup I had on and changing into a pair of sweatpants and a large t-shirt. I took out my contacts and placed my glasses on before sliding into my bed. Getting my laptop out I clicked the icon for Netflix, choosing to watch Supernatural and as the show loaded I reached over to the top draw of my night stand pulling out a bag of Hot Cheetos. This was much needed therapy, screw Chase Bradford.

— two bags of Hot Cheetos and a session of drooling over the Winchester brothers later —

I groaned as I heard the doorbell sound go off throughout the house. Who could possibly be interrupting my Netflix time, I thought as I lugged myself out of my bed and down the stairs.
Opening the door I came to see the annoyingly handsome face of Chase Bradford aka new found fuckboy in my book. I wanted to slam the door in his face and possible break his nose, but I couldn't bring myself to hurt such a Godly sculpted face. Screw his hotness!

"May I help you?"

I said, attitude clear within my voice as I folded my arms across my chest. Chase looked down raising his hand to scratch the back of his neck, which I noticed he does when he's nervous.

"L-look Bre I know I'm the last person you want to see right now, but could we please talk."

Typical white boy with the 'can we talk' mess. I rolled my eyes stepping to the side letting him enter.

"Come on in now, you letting out my air conditioner."

He quickly stepped inside and once I closed the door I turned to say something to him, but I took the opportunity to look at him, really look at him. His shoulders were lower, his eyes didn't have the same spark to them, and his smile was no longer present. Not saying a word I lead him into the living room, sitting him on the couch.

"I'll be right back."

I said turning my heel to walk into the kitchen. In the kitchen I took out too mugs and filled them with water and coco mix. Placing them into the microwave, I waited two minutes until they were warms enough. Taking both mugs I walked back into the living room placing the mugs on the coffee table before I took a seat on the love couch beside Chase. His eyes watched me as I sat down, he was about to speak, but I stopped him.

"You don't owe me an explanation, whatever you're going through seems personal I don't want to intrude."

He shook his head and took a deep breath.

"No, I owe you a lot Breanna Moore."

He turned his full body my way and began to speak.

— three cups of hot coco later —

Boy did this dude have tea to spill! We were probably seated on this couch for awhile because it was starting to get dark out, but I didn't really care about the time. I felt like a butthole for being so rude to him at school, he'd been going through so much and I'd just added onto his problems.

"Chase I want to apologize for being so rude to you earlier, I should've let you explain."

I said looking down at my hands. I soon felt a hand on my chin pulling my face up to look up and I came eye to eye with Chase.

"Don't apologize Bre, I was a jerk and I deserved the cold shoulder."

All I could do was nod because your girl was catching feelings left and right.
