The day came, homecoming. Everyone in the county were in formal mode. Girls were getting pampered and boys were pulling out their nice suites. I watched it all unfold before me and I was a little sad about recent events, but that didn't stop me from smiling at all the young girls and boys who went wild over their first high school dance. It was refreshing to see all their smiles.
"Ready to go?"
Brooke and I were at the nail shop right now, I had been waiting for her to get her nails done and now that she was finally done we could leave. I wanted so badly to go back home because my feet were killing me, because I had gone with Brooke to get her dress, nails, and hair done. Now we were headed to my house for her to get ready since that's where Marco was going to pick her up. That kinda of let me know Brooke hadn't told her dad about Marco. Brooke's dad was a Navy Seal and not only was he a scary guy, but pretty strict too. It was only Brooke, her mom, and dad. Her brother went off and joined the Air Force, wanting to serve like his dad.
Arriving at my place I let Brooke invade my bathroom so she could do her makeup while I hung up her dress, making sure it didn't wrinkle. I also got her shoes out and placed them near her dress. Once I was sure everything was in place for her I went downstairs to living room. Turning on the TV I started to watch a reality TV show it was sort of entertaining so I kept it on. With that playing in the background I play around with my phone going on Instagram. I began liking everyone's homecoming pictures, but when I came across Taylor's my thumb refused to move. It was her and Luke alongside Lauren and Chase. Lauren looked gorgeous in her dress and Chase look handsome as well. They looked good together. I double tapped the picture and continued on.— two hours later —
I heard the noise of Brooke's heels against the stairs and soon she was standing before me looking bomb.
"I'd go lesbian for you."
I said looking at her with my mouth wide open. She better stunt on these hoes! Quickly getting out my phone I got on the snapchat app and started hyping her up.
"Who's that? Oh! Just my bestie!"
Brooke got to feeling herself so I hyped her up even more.
"Yas mami you better serve these people looks!"
All of a sudden the door bell rang and I went to go open it. On the other side of the door stood Marco. He looked good in his tux. What I loved about him most though was his face when he saw Brooke. I had to get an off guard picture of them looking at each other I knew they'd want it later.
"Okay kids get on out of here."
I said purposely making my voice deep. We all laughed and I bid them both goodbyes and smiled as they went off to have a good time, I hope.
— a full hour gawking over teen wolf freshmen later —
I was peacefully watching Derek (miss him!!) kick some a** when my doorbell rung. Really Lord, really? I stayed in my spot and sunk down lower in the couch thinking whoever was at the door would disappear, but no they kept on.
Groaning as I flopped off the couch and onto the floor, I forced myself up to open the door. The second I opened the door Brooke along with Marco and some of the other girls from the cheer squad burst into my home. I was so stunned I couldn't speak. Why weren't they all at the dance?"I know you didn't think we were going to let you be all by yourself tonight."
"Girl you must be trippin!"
"We brought gifts!"
I noticed the fast food, starbucks, and movies the girls held. This was the best thing anyone has ever done for me. I grew up most of the time lonely and finally that feeling of fullness was returning. Thank you God.

What was I doing with my time? I could be at home right now with Brax watching some kiddy movie. Instead I was here in our school gymnasium at a dance. On top of that I was here with Lauren, Luke, and Taylor. Not too bad of a group of people, but not my kind of people. They were materialistic and judgmental, it was disgusting. Someone could be walking by just mindlessly doing their own thing and the three of them would just make fun of them. For what reason? None at all. I missed being around my actual friends, my boys, but I mostly missed Bre. Unlike these goons she didn't care about my status nor my wealth she only cared for me. Yeah I didn't see that before since I let my anger control my actions, but how could she? It may have not been her fault, but she could've just told my mom she didn't know me. Ever since that day my mom has constantly been following Braxton and I like a mad woman. I'd find her at Braxton's school or I'd see her in the school parking lot looking for me. Why couldn't she just get it through her head that Braxton and I wanted nothing to do with her as long as she continued to choose my farther over us. Just thinking about the situation made my head spin, I needed a drink.
Walking over to the snack table I got a cup of the already spiked punch and drowned it down with a single gulp. Taking more of the punch I caught a glimpse of Brooke further down the table. I knew I shouldn't approach her considering I hurt her best friend, but I did anyway."Hey, is Bre here? And by the way you look nice tonight."
Brooke looked up and looked over her shoulders looking for something, she even peeped under the table, but she then looked back at me.
"You talking to me?"
I nodded.
"Well I know I look good and as for Bre, don't concern yourself with her. Your date is over there."
She pointed at Lauren who was on the dance floor grinding her hips on some random guy.
"Brooke I just-"
"Am I speaking Chinese? I said don't concern yourself with her. So this conversation is over with and you can disappear out of my face now."
I could feel her anger from where I was standing, so I just backed down and slowly walked away. Although that wasn't the result I was hoping for, it was the result I deserved. What I did to Bre was exactly something my farther would do. I couldn't allow myself to be the monster he was. I needed Breanna more than I thought.
