My eyes opened. But my body left stiff.

My head was pounding, excruciating pain. As if it were being pounded against a brick wall over and over.

My eyes wandered around the room, crisp white with a splash of blue on the walls.

I looked next to me to see a hive of wires, connecting to my body.

A mask draped over my nose and mouth, my body was wrapped as if I was a mummy.

My stomach in the same amount of pain as my head, maybe even in a little more pain.

I tried to lift my arms, my head but I was stuck like glue.

I bat my eyelids softly, sighing but receiving a sharp pain in my stomach.

I groan, throat sore. My body as if it were lit on fire.

My eyes water at the pain I have in my body.

It's unavoidable.

I faintly sobbed, pain coming after each sob as I tried to exhale.

I want to cry out and pull at my hair, scream, jump out of this bed and get out of this room.

Frustrated, I try and move my arms, almost as if they were being pinned down.

My fingers twitch slowly.

Gripping onto the sheets, pulling at them slowly as a desperate call for help.

Slowly, feeling reached my wrists. But a faint beeping interrupted it, beeping loudly.

My eyes darted towards the machine, beeping loudly.

Rapid thuds were heard coming closer and closer.

I closed my eyes, tears spilling.  The thuds got closer.

My eyes opened.

Being met with another pair of eyes.

"Oh shit."
