Wonderful Waters Of Greece

When I woke up, it was around 9:30 pm and I was still wrapped in Hunter's strong arms from the nap we took around noon. As I tried to get up to go to the bathroom, I struggled of getting out of his embrace and eventually gave up, when I plopped my head back down on the pillow I let out a long sigh along with a yawn. "Are you okay?" I heard someone say as I wiped my tired eyes. When I was done wiping my eyes, I looked over to Hunter who was now wide awake next to me. "Yeah, I'm fine. I was just trying to get up." I replied as he removed his arms to free me from his arms so that I could get up and go to the washroom. "Thank you handsome." I said before entering the washroom to brush my teeth and use the facility. "You're welcome cutie." He replied as I felt the heat rush to my face causing me to blush.

Once I was done in the bathroom, I walked to the night table to retrieve my phone. "Hey Mads, we're getting ready to leave the hotel so pack your bags, we leave in 15." Alex said grabbing his suitcase from the closet and placing it on the bed beside mine. I watched as Alex packed his bags neatly then decided I should also pack mine so that we can leave on time to catch the boat to Greece. Once we were done packing, Alex, Hunter, Carter and I went downstairs in the lobby to wait for the others to come down and meet us. As Hunter went to check us out of our hotel room, I sat down in a chair near the lobby entrance and surfed through social media. "Hey Maddie! Where were you when we were down at the pool?" A voice said as someone sat down in the chair beside me. I looked up from my phone and noticed it was Cali who asked the question and sat down beside me. "Oh hey Cal! Um, I was having a nap with Hunter." I replied as she sent a smile my way. Just as she was about to respond, everyone else joined us as we stood up and made our way to the two cars waiting to take us to the dock so we could get on the ferry to Greece.

Once we arrived at the dock, we all got out of the car and grabbed our bags then, we made our way onto the boat and sat down in the lounging area and waited to depart for Greece. While we were waiting, I sat near the window to look out at the city lights that lit up the small town of Rome. "It's pretty, isn't it?" Cali asked sitting down beside me. "Yeah, it is." I replied turning to look over at her. An awkward silence fell upon us for a few moments before she proceeded to speak. "Maddie?" She asked. "Yeah?" I asked in a quiet tone as she gathered her thoughts before continuing to speak. "When you collapsed a few days ago... What happened?" She asked trying to ask me in a way that wouldn't upset me. Another moment of awkward silence passed as the boat began to leave the port then I replied. "Cali, I...I felt his presence, he...he was there...Brody was there and I guess I just got...scared." As I spoke those words I knew Cali understood who I was speaking about before I said his name because she's the only person that knows about Brody other than Alex and Hunter because she was there when it happened. And hearing his name, it made me feel even more scared and uncomfortable, causing tears to start rolling down my cheeks. "Mads, he can't hurt you anymore you're safe now because you have Hunter and Alex to look out for you... I know you're scared and I'm scared too but you know what..." She said as she brushed her hand up and down my arm comforting me. I wiped my tears away and then replied "What?" she took a second to gather her thoughts once again then she said "If he ever comes near you or lays a finger on you, he's gonna be a dead man because Alex and Hunter will whoop his ass for you!" As she said that last part, we both smiled then laughed knowing that, that is true.

Once I was done talking with Cali, I was getting pretty warm so I decided to go out on the deck and get some fresh air. "Cali, I'm going to go get some air." I said before going through the door that led to the deck. She nodded in response and then said "Okay, I'll let Hunter know." Again, I nodded in response and made my way on the deck. Once I was out there, the cool ocean breeze felt good on my face, I sat down on one of the lounge chairs and looked up at the beautiful starry sky and admired how the stars lit up the sky. A couple minutes later, my eyes started to close and before I could actually fall asleep, a voice had woken me up. "Hey." The figure said as it came closer to me and when it appeared in the light, I realised it was just Alex. Once he reached the lounge chair beside me, he laid down and looked up at the sky just like I was then he said "Hey" then, a comfortable silence filled the air for a few minutes before Alex spoke again "You know, I still remember all those times we would spend at the cottage laying out on the deck all night looking up at the stars and you would always try to stay awake all night just to watch them shine and dance in the sky." He said as a small smile grew on my face remembering all those summers whereas a little girl, I would love to explore and stay up just to watch the stars with my big brother. "Yeah, I remember those times too and when I did fall asleep, I remembered you or dad would carry me up to bed when we didn't camp out on the deck." I replied as a huge smile grew on his face as he remembered the good old days. We continued to lay there for what seemed like forever and it felt good spending time with my big brother who has been my best friend ever since I was born. "You know what freckles?" he asked as we sat up at the same time. "What?" I asked curious to know what he was going to say. "You're the best little sister and my best friend in the whole entire world! And I would be lost without you kid because you mean the world to me!" He said as I stood up and hugged him tightly knowing that he will always have my back. "And you know what Alex... You're my best friend and the best big brother in the whole entire world and I would be lost without you... You know that? Because you mean everything to me!" I whispered into his chest as we continued hugging each other under the quiet starry night. "I love you Madison." He whispered kissing the top of my head. "I love you too." I replied releasing from the hug.
