Flight Gone Wrong

This morning, Hunter woke me up at 1 so we could get packed and go to the airport to catch our flight to Japan. I got up and went to get dressed then, came back out and packed my suitcase just as hunter answered the door. I looked over to see who was there and it was Jack. " Morning Jack." I said as I folded my shirt and put in in my suitcase. "Morning Maddie." He said then started talking to Hunter. After I was done packing my suitcase, I made sure Hunter had everything. "Hunter is all your stuff packed?" I asked him he shook his head and grabbed his suitcase and backpack. " We're meeting them down in the lobby." He said. "Okay, let me just see if Mina and Justin are ready yet." I said just as I was about to knock on the door, Cali came out of her room and said " Umm... Maddie, I already made sure they were up and packed." I turned and said " Okay, thanks we'll meet you guys in the lobby." I caught up with Hunter and we went downstairs to wait for the others. After a few minutes, they all showed up and placed their bags down, then we went to the check -out desk and checked out of the hotel and waited for the van to come pick us up.

Once the van arrived, we placed our luggage in the back and got in and the driver took us to the airport. "I'm so tired. I never stay up this late at night." I said as my eyes slowly started to shut and I tried to stay awake. " You can fall asleep Mads, I'll wake you up when we get there." Hunter said as I leaned my head on his shoulder and fell asleep. Next thing I know, I'm being woken up my Hunter's voice. " Maddie, we're here... Maddie." He said as my eyes slowly fluttered open. I wiped my tired eyes and unbuckled my seat belt then got out of the car and grabbed my suitcase. After that we went in the airport to gate 5 where we would be getting on our plane for Japan. It was now only 2 am and I was getting hungry. " Guys, I'm going to look for some food, who wants to come?" I asked as Cali, Jack and Hunter stood up to join me. " You guys sure you don't want to come?" I asked Mina, Brent, Sophie and Justin. " I'm sure." Mina said as Sophie got up to join. " Food sounds like a good idea to me." We walked around towards the food court until we found a Tim Hortons. " They must have one of these in every airport." Hunter said pointing towards Timmies. We got in line to order some food and a drink. " What would you like?" Hunter asked me as I looked across the menu board to find something to eat. " I think I'm going to get an iced cap and a chocolate chip muffin, please." We went up to the cashier and he ordered then paid and we moved off to the side to wait for our drinks. After that, we headed back to the gate where Brent, Mina and Justin stayed.

When we got back, the person at the desk near the gate had called our seats so, we grabbed our backpacks and went up to the front and handed her our tickets.Once we were all on the plane, we sat down and buckled our belts as the flight attendants helped others with their bags. Then the plane started going towards the runway for take-off I looked out the window as we started to take-off, then once we were up in the sky, I closed my eyes and went back to sleep. Hunter leaned his head on my shoulder and slowly closed his eyes. Last thing I heard before I completely fell asleep was Cali cooing " Aww, they both look so cute when they're sleeping." A few hours later, I woke up to the plane landing on the runway, I looked out the window to see we had arrived. Then the pilot spoke and said " Ladies and gentlemen, we have now arrived to our destination. We would like to welcome you to India" I smiled and took a few seconds to let what he just said get into my head then my eyes widened " Wait! India? We're supposed to be going to Japan!" I yelled. Hunter grabbed my hand and rubbed his thumb across it. " It's okay, Mads calm down. We just got on the wrong flight." He said. I calmed down and just looked out the window. " Was India even on our list?" Sophie asked. "Yeah" Mina said. We got off the plane and went to get our luggage from the luggage pick-up belt then went to get eight tickets to Japan and went to the gate the person behind the desk told us to go to.

" I knew something like this would happen if we followed one of the guys to the gate." Mina said. We all looked at her and laughed then Sophie said "Hey, I'm sure it would have happened if we followed me or you to the gate." Mina gave her a look and said " That's true but at least they mentioned which flight it was... AFTER THE FACT WE GOT HERE!" Justin grabbed her hand. " Hey, hey, hey, Mina calm down. It was just a little mistake, everyone makes mistakes sometimes guys more than girls." He reassured her as she calmed herself down . We sat down in some chairs that were right in front of the huge window facing the runway and watched the planes as they came in. Three hours had passed and our plane was not here yet, then we heard " Ladies and gentlemen who are waiting for the flight to Tokyo Japan, this is an announcement to let you know that your flight has been delayed by ten minutes." Just then Cali was losing some of her patience. " Oh my goodness, we're going to be here for a long time!" She said as Jack wrapped an arm around her. Hours had passed and our actual plane had arrived, we boarded the plane and went to our seats we then took off to Japan. A few hours later, we landed in Japan and once the plane stopped, we stood up and grabbed our backpacks then we made our way to the exit to get off the plane.

We went outside the airport and got on the bus that would take us and other people to the hotel. On the way to the hotel, I looked out the window the entire way. " Maddie, are you okay?" Cali asked me. I came out of my thoughts and looked over to her. " Yeah, just got some things going on in my head right now." I replied she half smiled and said " Well if you ever want to talk about it, you know I'm always here." I smiled and thanked her then we arrived at the hotel.
