After spending an entire week painting the rooms in the house and unpacking boxes and arranging the rooms, we were finally settled into our new house. Now, we are packing our suitcases to head off to Jack and Cali's wedding in Hawaii. I grabbed the passports off the kitchen counter along with the boarding passes for the plane and then made my way out of the house and into the Jeep. "Got everything?" Hunter asked as we pulled out of the driveway. Once we made it to the airport, we went through security and then went and boarded the plane. Once on the plane, we found our seats before the plane took off.
3 hours later, we landed in Maui Hawaii. We grabbed our stuff from the luggage belt and found our way to the doors where busses were awaiting for tourists from all around the world to take them to their luxurious hotel resorts. As we were searching for our bus, we could hear people calling after us. We both turned around and saw no other than Carter and Max chasing after us. "Hey, guys!" they said in unison. "Hey how are you guys?" I asked as they each took a turn giving me a hug. "Good, good you know. How about you guys?" Carter asked "Yeah how's the new house?" Max added as they each took a turn bro hugging Hunter. Once we found the bus that was taking us to the resort, we found our seats and Carter and Max sat across from us . As we drove towards the resort, I looked out the window and admired the tall palm trees and colourful scenery surrounding the vehicle. After a few minutes, the bus pulled up to the front of the hotel and we got off and grabbed our bags.
As I waited for Hunter to grab his bags, I took in the images of tropical paradise surrounding me in this beautiful part of the Hawaii. At the front of the hotel sat a long pool of water centred with a large fountain spitting out crystal blue water. Once we gathered our bags and checked in at the front desk, we hopped on the golf cart that took us to building number four where our rooms were. When the cart came to a complete stop, we hopped off and walked up the stairs to the top floor and found room 409 where we would be staying for the week. After putting my stuff away, I changed into my white swim top that had blue palms and flowers on it and my black swim shorts. Once I was done that, I went out onto the balcony and got comfortable in the hammock that was sitting out there. As I finished getting comfy, I slowly started drifting off to sleep as the sound of the waves crashing on the beach soothed and kept me relaxed.
"I love you." Was the first thing I heard when I woke up from my nap feeling nice and refreshed. When I looked up, I saw Hunter sitting in the hammock right next to me with messy bed head. "How was your nap beautiful?" he asked giving me a smirk. "It was refreshingly good; I think I'm ready to hit the water." I replied as I sat up and stretched grabbing my phone opening the camera app to take a selfie with Hunter. "Smile hot stuff!" I said as Hunter's lips spread into a huge genuine smile revealing his cute dimples and pearly whites. We took a few pictures before we grabbed a couple towels and headed down to the beach to catch some waves. As we walked through the lobby, we spotted Jack and Max spending some quality brother time together. "Hey guys, glad you could make it!" Jack said as he waved us over welcomingly. We sat down with the two brothers for a couple minutes and went over the times for the wedding rehearsal that's in a couple days. Hunter and I then went down to the beach to surf.
Once we finally made it down to the beach, we stepped into Ron Jon's surf shop and searched for a couple of surfboards to rent and catch some waves. "Aloha, how can I help ya?" a young boy with dirty blond hair asked. "Hi, we were just looking to rent a couple surf boards so we could hit some waves ya know?" Hunter replied as the young teenaged boy took us over to a desk so we could fill out a few papers before choosing our boards and hitting the beach. "Alright, what board would you like bro?" the kid asked Hunter as his gaze landed on a nice yellow board with a blue stripe up the middle. He pointed to it and the kid took it off the rack and Hunter held it up as they both turned to me. "You're up Mads." Hunter said as my eyes scanned the different boards in front of me. Then my eyes locked in on an amazing aqua blue board that had two white stripes on the one side. " I'll take that one right there." I said pointing it out for the employee as he moved forward and took it off the rack and handed it to me. "Alright my friends, when you're done catching some gnarly waves, just bring your boards round back and my friend in the back will take care of them for ya." The kid informed us before we left and ran towards the beach.
