A few days after our fun in Florida, we traveled to Texas for a few days, our first stop in Texas was Galvestone, there we went to the island's historic pleasure pier then we spent two days in Austin where we went to McKinney Falls State park for a day where we went hiking and swimming under the falls and the next day, we went to Zilker Metropolitan park where we each did different activities. Max, Jack and Alex did paddle boarding, Hunter, Cali, Carter and I went canoeing while Sophie, Brent, Mina and Justin went kayaking. After our two days in Austin, we made our way to Dallas Texas where we spent a day at The Dallas World Aquarium where we saw some interesting sea creatures and a few other animals. While we were there, we also went to a Cowboys game at the AT&T Stadium and let's just say that was Hunter's favourite part of Dallas. He's a really big football fan and he thought it was a good idea to catch an NFL game while we were in town. And last but not least, today we were off to Houston Texas for a few days.
"Dude, how much longer are we going to be in the van for?" Max asked as we were cruising down the highway as the rain poured down from the sky. "About two more hours and we should be there." Cater said. I put my earbuds in and put my music on shuffle when Dance With My Daughter started playing as I leaned my head on Hunter's shoulder and looked out the window as rain drops ran down the window like it was a race. As the song kept playing, I thought about my dad and a few songs for the father, daughter dance that we would have at my wedding. I unlocked my phone and went in my notes and typed them down then locked my phone and placed my head back on Hunter's shoulder. I went back to watching the rain drops race down the window as more appeared on the window then slowly, my eyes started getting heavy leading me into a small nap. After a few minutes of sleep, I was woken up by some loud voices echoing in the van, I slowly fluttered my eyes opened to see Jack, Brent and Alex all singing....Or at least trying to. "Are you guys done dying yet?" I said jokingly as they all stopped and looked at me. I got a few laughs from Hunter, Cali and Carter then a smirk from my brother and a look of confusion from Jack and Brent. "Are you done being boring?" Alex shot back at me a smirk spreading on his lips. "For your information Alex, I am not boring, I can be fun and you guys know it!" I said crossing my arms over my chest as Hunter wrapped his arm around me rubbing my arm. The car went silent for a few minutes until we had finally arrived at the hotel we were going to be staying for three days.
We got out of the car and brought our stuff into the hotel, after we checked in, I took a shower, got changed into my pajamas then, I put my clothes back in my suitcase and grabbed Hunter's hoodie that was laying on the bed. I put it on and got up on the bed grabbing the tv remote and scanning through the tv channels. "Hey, we're going to order pizza and everyone is going to come eat in our room, sound good?" Hunter said as he walked in the room, towel over his shoulder and room key in hand. "Yeah sure and by the way I stole your hoodie because I was cold." I replied as he came over and placed the room key on the table and wrapped me in a hug. "Get off of me! You're cold and wet!" I said pushing him away as he grabbed sweat pants and a tee shirt from his suitcase. "Did you have fun at the pool?" I asked him as he closed his suitcase and looked over at me. "Yeah, we played basketball and Alex and I won." He said smiling. "Nice." I replied as he went into the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later, a knock on the door startled me as I got off the bed and answered the door revealing the pizza delivery guy holding four boxes of pizza. "Hi, I've got two meat lovers pizza and two cheese pizzas" The guy said handing me the boxes as I took them out of his hand turning around to place them on the table. "Here, let me grab those from ya." Hunter said as he came out of the bathroom with a towel over his shoulder. "Thanks babe." I said handing over the pizzas to him then going back to the door to pay the pizza guy. "Here you go, keep the change!" I said handing him the money. "Thanks, have a good night." He said putting the money in his pocket. "You too." I said as I closed the door.
