Chapter 5 - Heart Attack

-Roxy's POV-

As I got into the english class, I saw a bunch of familiar faces that I barely spoke to, I sat next to my friend Ashley and opened my english book and started jotting down some quotes,

Mr.Bass walked in with a huge smile on his face, which seemed to be permanent, and sat at his desk and shuffled through his papers,

I went back to doing some doodling in my book, (I drew a pirate eating pizza, don't ask, I just thought it was funny) Ashley looked at my doodle and laughed,

"Argghh! Me want more pizza!"

She said in a pirate voice, I laughed with her, we both stopped when we noticed someone at the door, oh no, tell me he's not gonna join in our class..

"Hey Louis, thanks for joining us!"

Fuck, was all I could whisper to Ashley,

"You can take Roxy's seat for this class because she brought in a song for us. Come on up Mrs. D"

I gulped and went up to the front of the class with my notebook, Louis whispered in my ear,

"We seriously need to talk."

I ignored it and opened my book. Louis happily sat next to Ashley and said hello, as the good friend she is, she ignored him,

"Well, hey guys,"

I heard a chorus of hellos, hey and how you doin'?

"Today since the luck of the draw decided that I should bring a song for you guys, I decided to bring in Heart Attack by Demi Lovato."

I clicked on youtube and saw a bunch of lyric videos and real videos of the song,

"Before I play this, I want to say for the guys that I know this is a really girly song, I just wanted to ask for your opinions on it and what you think about it."

I played it,

"Never put my love out on the line
Never said yes to the right guy
Never had trouble getting what I want
But when it comes to you I'm never good enough..."

I looked at Louis and saw him examining the song lyrics, looking back and fourth between me and the screen,

"You make me glooooow
But I cover up won't let it shooooow
So I'm putting my defenses up
'cause I don't want to fall in love..."

The song lyrics ran through me, I picked this song because it really represented how I was feeling when I 'fell in love' with Louis, its a surprise that he's here when I showed it to the class.

The song stopped and I saw a bunch of people sleeping on their desks, and others were writing something.

-LOUIS' POV-

"And everytime I try to be myself, it comes out wrong like a cry for help.
It's just not fair
Seems more trouble then love is worth
I gasp for air
It feels so good but you know it hurts..."

Those words stuck to me, Roxy obviously chose this song about what she has been through... But who was the guy who was hurting her? Who was the guy that was giving her a 'heart attack'?

She sat down next to me after she was done presenting,

"Thank you Roxy. Now everyone is going to write down a review of the song in their notebooks."

Everyone opened their books and started jotting down some words,

"Louis, you can write it down on a paper and hand it to me when class is done."

I nodded and took out a piece of paper from Roxy's pink glittery binder, it had stars running along the right side and in the stars it looked like she drew in black peace signs.

I stole one of her staedtler pens, (i took the pink one because she loves pink). I started writing down that I liked this song even though she was singing something about having to act like a girl. Painting nails and wearing high heels/perfume. Other then that. It was a pretty good song at that-

The bell went off,

"See you all tomorrow and we'll talk about Roxy's song!"

She grabbed her books and my pen and started walking off to her locker, I decided to follow her because I still needed answers for why she cuts herself?

"Roxy-"

"Look Louis, I have no time for this! I have to get home."

She interrupted me abruptly,

"I can drive you home, just please, can we talk?"

She put her books in her bag and zipped it up and put it on her back,

"About what?"

I took her hand, and examined it... surprisingly no cuts but she drew red lines and peace signs on it.

"That's a long story that I wouldn't really like to explain to you."

My eyebrows rose in surprise,

"Why?"

"Because, you didn't bother with me last year and now that you hear something tragic you suddenly care, I don't roll that way Louis."

She said harshly, before she could walk away I grabbed her hand,

"Just one night Roxy, please stay with me for one night and I'll leave you alone.."

She looked down at the ground,

"Thats not what I wanted, never have I wanted you to 'leave me alone'-"

She got cut off by one of the teachers,

"Mrs Dianne, are you taking the bus home?"

Mr. Patterson asked,

She looked at me with sad eyes then back to Mr Patterson,

"No, no I'm not.."

Ohhhhh!! And that is when the drama starts and she has to confess. Honestly, I didn't know what to write without making it sound dramatic, but it kind of does. Stay strong lovelies xx
