Chapter 29 - Smile

-Roxy's POV-

The blinding white lights woke me up. Where was I? I looked around me to see that I was in a bed... This isn't my bed? Why the hell am I here? I got up and noticed that I wasn't in my clothes? I was dressed in a baggy black shirt and baggy grey sweat pants. I went to the white door and walked outside of it and noticed a kitchen.

"Hello?"

I asked hoping someone could hear me,

"Oh good you're up."

A male voice startled me,

"Where am I? How did I get here?"

I asked the very, and I mean VERY, attractive guy as I sat down on his couch exhausted. My whole body ached and I don't know why.

"Oh, I'm Shane by the way and I found you outside of this drug store. You were just laying there all huddled up and I didn't want you to freeze out there since it is almost December."

"December?"

I asked him as I rubbed my head,

"How long have I been out of it?"

I asked Shane,

"About a week."

I looked around the house and ran to the room I was in, I saw my phone charging as I picked it up and tried to call Louis. His line was busy.

"Why now!"

I yelled at my phone and threw it at the bed and started to cry once again,

Shane ran in the room and held me, trying to calm me down as I almost had a tantrum.

"It's alright. You don't need to worry like this."

I took the lamp and threw it out of the window. I couldn't believe where I was right now. I should be with Louis.

"Uhm. Miss. Can you please just sit down."

"My name is Roxy!"

I said as I slid down the wall, I covered my face with my hands,

"Roxy, would you like to tell me what is going on?"

I told Shane the whole thing, how I fell for Louis so hard and finally got the chance to be with him. Eleanor kidnapping me. I don't know why but every day that I was away from him I just kept reminding myself that maybe he's playing with me. Maybe he made a bet with his friends or something. I looked up at Shane's familiar green eyes... I swear I've seen them somewhere before.

"Oh my, Roxy? Roxanne Dianne? You sure have changed over the years!"

He said as he squeezed me,

"Uhm, how do you know me?"

"We were best friends in Sec 3, you probably don't remember me because I was the emo dude and now I'm over that stage."

Shane Deely, I fell for that emo a long time ago when we were in grade 3 also. Then he developed feelings for me in sec 3 and I fell for Louis at that time. I went out with him for a year or so... But I realized that I loved Louis so I couldn't date anyone after that. I broke up with him by telling him and he told me that he didn't want to lose me so we stayed as friends. Just friends.

"I've always loved you, Roxanne."

He said as he took my hand in his,

"Uhm. I h-have a boyfriend."

I said as I slowly took my arms away from him,

"Not just that way! As my best friend too. You were always there for me and I love that about you."
