I decided to start with kid since he actually talks to me and should be able to tell me anything. While we were in the kitchen eating pancakes and strawberries both deliciously soaked in thick layers of syrup I look up at him from my plate and urge kid to tell me what's going on.
"Its nothing I just want you safe that's all. You've gone through too much and I think you deserve a brake. " I sigh and take another bite of my pancakes and look at the necklace he gave me when we started dating. "You know I can take anything, you don't have to protect me from everything. I'm a big girl and whatever you are hiding from me I can take that too. But what I can't take is you not telling me what's eating at you. If you love me you could at least tell me what its about and why you've become so attached lately. " he looks up to me with great concern and then looks down to hide the sadness in his eyes " I just want you happy. That's all I've ever wanted and as I fell in love with you I became happy too. But everything good in my life gets destroyed and I don't want to lose the best thing I've ever had. I'm sorry I just can't let anything happen to you. I can't... " I wrap my arms around him and sigh "I'm not going anywhere without a good fight kid. I promise." Kid kisses my forehead then leans down and whispers in my ear "I've got something for you. I'll be right back"
He ran to his room leaving me sitting at the table in the early morning light. When he comes back he holds a box wrapped in shiny rainbow wrapping paper with a clowd shaped bow on top. I smile "Kid what is this?"
"Just open it! I think you'll love it!" the excitement in his voice and the twinkle in his golden eyes gives me a completely different feeling then how everything felt before. He smiles like a child when he's excited its so cute. I tare open the wrapping paper and open the box. There was a beautiful sky blue dress with sparkles down the sides and blue and silver jewels at the top and under the dress is a blue mask with swirls and little jewels on it. I look up at kid shocked "What is this for!? " He smiles big "Do you like it? I'm having a masquerade ball and I hoped you'd wear this at the ball. I was thinking this might be a way you and Blair could get back to being friends again. If no one knows who's who then how can she avoid you? " I smile and wrap my arms around him "I love it! Thank you kid you're the best! " I kiss him slowly and passionately and hold him close against me. "I love you with all my heart. " For a moment we just stand there in each others arms everything is slow and peaceful. Then we kinda snap out of it and he kisses my cheek "Go try it on! I want to see my princess all dressed up! I giggle and shake my head "kid you dork" I put on the 'Cinderella dress' along with the mask and the jewelry and run down back to my prince. He stands up and is dressed in a slick black tuxedo with a top hat and a white mask and smiles "spin around I want to see how you look. " I spin three times and giggle "what do you think? " He pulls me close and moves my hair out of my face slowly as he whispers "You look beautiful. Did you find the first clue yet? Or do I have to give you a pre-hint to get you started?" I nod slowly looking into his eyes innocently "The more I know the faster I'll figure it out" He giggles and rolls his eyes and looks down at our necklace "Your first clue is around your neck. But you've gotta start at the beginning of it. " I look down at the necklace and run into the living room he gave it to me when he asked me to be his so that's gotta be the start and of course I was right. On the couch was another note that read.

The only place I could think of is his green house that his fathers workers tend to so I run outside and into the green house. All the flowers are in bloom, shades of reds, blues, and purples embrace the room and sends out sweet smells that I could never explain. I walk down the little isle in the middle of the garden and stop to find kid leaning against a tree. "Come here I want to show you something. When we first met I spent a lot of time in here because it reminded me of you. The bold colors and sweet smells made me think of your courage and kindness. And when I became determined to become apart of you I carved our names into this tree. The day I asked you out I put the heart around it and now I'm ready to show you. But be careful not to over look it. It may hold your next and last clue." He moves from the tree and leads me to it. I trace my fingers over the words and blush slightly. Kid places his hand over mine and holds me from behind. His warm breath on my neck sends shivers down my spine and I am in his trance. Again the time is nothing but a word, he makes my heart stop without even doing anything. I don't know if I ever understood love before I met him but now its all clear. He is what love is to me. I smile at the thought and then snap out of it and look for the clue but I couldn't see anything. The first two were just given to me so I didn't expect this one to really hide. Where could it be? I look around the tree and then kid spins me around and pushes me against the tree. "You're not going to find it here. Look closely at every detail. Where would I hide it?" He's so close I can't even think let alone pay attention to detail. I stare into his hypnotic eyes and press my hand against his chest. There was the sound of paper crumbling and he smirks and takes the last clue out of his jacket. "good job you found it. Now take this and find the last part of your costume for the party. I run back up to the room and look back at the bed. This time there are some beautiful black heals, a princess crown and the invitation to his ball. After I put the shoes on kid comes in and puts the crown on my head and smiles.
