Trigger warning- Panic Attack

Alyssa stared at Tyler for a long time. What was he talking about? Her parents weren't really her parents? Strange. Josh sat on the bench and stared at Tyler too. Tyler was looking across the park's grassy field towards the parking lot. He bounced up and down on his feet nervously.

Glancing at Josh for a moment, Alyssa asked, "So...can someone explain what is happening?"

Tyler spun away from the parking lot and smiled. He simply said, "You're my sister."

Huh? Sure, and My Chemical Romance is making music again. Alyssa thought. But something about Tyler made her think that he was telling the truth. Tyler continued, "One day, my parents asked me to take my 1 year old sister, Alyssa, to the park to play. She wanted to go on the swing set. As I sat her down in a swing, 2 people dressed in black came out of nowhere and took her! One of them held me while the other grabbed my little sister. I couldn't stop them...noone ever found her..."

Alyssa listened to Tyler's story. When she thought about it, it made sense. Her "parents" didn't treat her like real parents would. But why did they kidnap her? To be their slave? Alyssa was tempted to bet $30 that it was the reason why they did what they did. Josh's mouth was open slightly as he looked at Tyler. Alyssa could've guessed that he never heard this before. Before he could say anything, 2 police cars drove into the parking lot.

There were 4 police officers. They got out of their vehicles and Tyler ran over to them so he could explain the situation. Alyssa and Josh never moved from the bench. This was definitely awkward. One of the cops approached Alyssa. He was in his mid-30's and had strict, brown eyes. This officer was probably the most experienced out of the 4 that arrived. He began to question Alyssa about her life and her relationship with her "parents."

At one point, the officer asked, "Have they ever hit you?"

Alyssa's face grew bright red, almost pink. This was the first time anyone had asked her this. Tyler and Josh waited nervously for her response. She looked down at her feet and slowly nodded. The officer asked more questions and when he was finally done, he asked her to tell him where she lived. Alyssa gave him the address.

The lead officer and his parter went back to their car while the remaining two had Alyssa, Tyler, and Josh join them in theirs. Alyssa sat in the back seat, between Josh and Tyler. It was a quick drive. When they arrived at Alyssa's "house," the officers asked Alyssa to remain in the car with Tyler and Josh. Of couse she would. Why would she want to go in...there? She kept her sarcasm to herself and remained quiet.

Trigger begins

Tyler glanced down at his sister. "Hey, you ok?" He asked.

"Huh?" Alyssa said.

He pointed at her right leg. It was shaking up and down. This was something Alyssa did all the time. It would get worse when her anxiety kicked in. It was pretty bad now. "I..I'm fine..," Alyssa stammered.

But she wasn't fine and Tyler knew it. Suddenly, millions of thoughts began racing through Alyssa's head. What's going to happen to me? Will my "parents" come after me? What if they find me? Will Tyler and his family accept me? What if they don't? What if they don't want me? No...no, no, no! Alyssa buried her head into her hands and began to lose her breath. Her breath came in quick gasps. It felt as if her heart was beating a hundred miles an hour. She couldn't see clear, everything was in a haze.

Tyler and Josh immediately knew what was happening. Josh flung open one of the car doors for fresh air and Tyler stayed with Alyssa. "It's okay, Alyssa. It's going to be okay. You can get through this. Try focusing on your breath," Tyler said.

Alyssa closed her eyes and did her best to control her breathing. Josh and Tyler stayed by her side the whole time. After 15 minutes-it felt like an eternity- Alyssa's vision cleared and her heart beat returned to normal. She could breath on her own without any problems. Josh asked, "Do you want some water or anything?"

Trigger ended

Alyssa shook her head. She just wanted this day to be over. The officers came out of the house with her "parents" in handcuffs. They were put in the back of the front car. The second car's officers returned and got inside. One said, "Alyssa, you'll have to stay at the station for a few days before going home. We'll need to ask you some questions. You'll also need to speak to Child Protection Services."

How was she supposed to respond to all this? This was the strangest and craziest birthday Alyssa ever had. Apparently Tyler Joseph was her brother and she was kidnapped as a baby. Her kidnappers were arrested. Then, Alyssa had a panic attack in front of Josh and Tyler of Twenty Øne Piløts. Now, she'd have to stay at the police station for questioning. All she wanted to do was take a nap. Well, at least I won't be abused anymore, Alyssa thought as she laid her head back against the seat.

(A/N- Honestly, I was nervous to write a chapter where Alyssa has a panic attack because I've had them before. They are the most terrifying things I've ever experienced. But anyway, thanks for reading! Leave a comment, telling me what you think of the story so far!)
