The Final Show

Monday, September 19th: the last day of the tour. The show was in Columbus, Ohio. Alyssa was glad that she'd be home soon. But she knew that she'd miss traveling and miss everything she had seen. It had been so much fun! Sure, it was rough the first week of the tour, but Alyssa was happy afterwards.

It was about 11:30 a.m and they wouldn't be in Columbus until about 3 p.m. Alyssa walked over to the mini fridge and grabbed the meat, cheese, and mustard. She found the bread and made herself a sandwich. "Anyone want a sandwich?" She called out.

Josh walked in and stopped by the counter. "Sure," He said as he took a plate from the cabinet.

After he finished making his lunch, Josh joined Alyssa on the couch. "So Alyssa, how have you liked being on tour?" He asked.

"It's fun! But it can be exhausting sometimes. I miss home but I love being out on the road," Alyssa replied.

"I think it'll be good for us to be home again. Plus, you'll be able to go to school," Josh said.

"I like having Tyler teach me," said Alyssa.

Josh smiled, "Yeah. But he isn't exactly qualified to be a teacher."

"I guess that's true," Alyssa said, wondering what her new school would be like.

"I'm going to take a little nap until we get to the stage. I'm sure you'll make friends at your school," Josh said as he finished his lunch.

Alyssa let Josh rest and she decided that she should try to sleep too. She leaned back against the couch and closed her eyes.

They arrived at the stage that afternoon. Tyler and Josh did a test run of the last show. Jenna and Alyssa did some shopping and walked around. The show started at 8 p.m. Alyssa and Jenna joined the boys at the stage around 7. They hung around backstage until the show began.

The show went on as planned. It was just like the other shows...Until the end. Alyssa was watching the show from backstage. Tyler looked out at the crowd. He played a chord on the piano. It was time for Trees. He took a deep breath. "Did you guys have fun tonight?" He asked.

Everyone cheered, making Tyler smile. He looked down for a moment before talking, "This tour has been a lot of fun. Josh and I love playing these songs. We love hearing you sing along. But the show has to come to an end. We have one more song for you. First, I want to say something."

Alyssa moved closer to the stage. What was Tyler going to do? Tyler continued playing chords on the piano. He said, "This tour was special because I had a special person joins us on tour."

Alyssa gasped. Was Tyler talking about...her? Tyler looked over to Alyssa and Jenna. He smiled, "My little sister, Alyssa came with us. She had never been out of Ohio before and we never really had much time to hang out before. We'd spend long bus hours playing games, watching movies, or just talking about different things. Tours are always fun. But Alyssa made this one better then the rest. So, thank you Alyssa."

The crowd erupted in a cheer. From his drumset, Josh motioned with a hand for Alyssa to come on the stage. She walked out and the crowd cheered again. Alyssa waved to them. Tyler stood up and left his piano to give her a hug. They embraced and the crowd continued to cheer. Alyssa waved again at the crowd before looking at Tyler.

Tyler said quietly to her, "I love you."

"Love you too," Alyssa replied.

She walked off stage and returned to Jenna. Jenna and Alyssa hugged and watched Tyler and Josh perform Trees.

A/N So funny story. When I was writing this, Trees started playing. Ironic. Anyway, yeah that was a short tour but I want Alyssa to get to her school for the plot to move forward. Thanks for reading!
