Tyler's Birthday

It was 5:30 A.M. Alyssa set her alarm earlier then usual because she had a plan to suprise Tyler. It was his birthday and she wanted to make it special. She threw on the clothes she picked out the night before and then reached under her bed for the card she made. Josh walked into the room and said, "Hey! You ready?"

"Let's go," Alyssa lead the way into the kitchen.

She set her card on the table and Josh put his gift next to it. Alyssa turned on the skillet and began making pancakes. Josh made the coffee. They tried to be as quiet as possible. But Alyssa accidentally knocked over a bowl and it fell to the ground. Alyssa and Josh froze. He slowly walked over and picked it up. "I don't think it woke them up," He whispered.

They finished breakfast with no trouble. After setting the table, Alyssa checked the time. It was 6 A.M. Tyler and Jenna would be getting up any second now. Her phone buzzed. Jenna sent her a message: We're coming down the stairs.

Alyssa turned off the light and hid under the table. The table cloth covered her. Josh hid with her. The table was long enough for them both. They heard footsteps and the light turned on. "Suprise!" Alyssa and Josh cheered as they leaped out from under the table.

Tyler smiled, "Oh my gosh! You definitely suprised me! Haha."

Alyssa gave him a hug. "Happy birthday, Tyler!"

"Thank you sweetie," Tyler said in return.

Josh gave him a bro hug and Jenna kissed Tyler. Josh glanced at Alyssa, "Guess what, Tyler? This was all Alyssa's idea."

"It was?" asked Tyler.

Alyssa nodded shyly. Tyler gave her another hug. He said, "Aw, thank you. You didn't have to!"

"But I wanted to! I wanted to make your birthday special," replied Alyssa.

They sat down and ate breakfast. Then, Tyler opened his presents. First Jenna's, then Josh's, and finally Alyssa's. Her gift was in a small box with blue wrapping paper. A homemade card was tapped to it. Tyler read it to himself. It said-

Dear Tyler,

Happy birthday! I hope it's amazing! I love you so much. Even before I met you, you helped me a lot. Your music was there when things got bad. Even now, it comforts me. You inspire me in a lot of ways. You're always there and you understand me better then anyone. Thank you.

Tyler said, "Thank you, Alyssa. I love the card."

He unwrapped the box and opened it up. Inside, was a set of 4 new guitar picks. They were white, blue, red, and black. "Oh hey! I've been wanting to get some more," he said.

"Yeah. I remember you mentioning that so I asked Jenna to take me to the music store so I could buy them for you," Alyssa said, as she looked in the box.

They cleaned up the table and Alyssa finished getting ready and Tyler took her to school. That night, they went out for dinner. Alyssa was happy that night. But would her happiness last?

A/N It's Tyler's birthday so I HAD to make a chapter on it! Haha. I hope you liked it. I know it's really short and that's because the end of the book is coming soon. So I want to make sure it's good. Don't worry though, there's a few more chapters coming so it's not ending SOON soon.
