"Here's your coffee," Josh handed Devon her coffee. Every morning, either one or the other got coffee for both of them. By now, they both knew how the other liked it. "How's your morning so far?" He sat himself on her desk next to her.

"Well it's morning so that already makes it not good," she shrugged. "But I think there's things making it better." She said, looking to Josh with a smile.

"Mhm," Josh kept his eyes locked on her as he nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Like what?"

"Well uh..." They were sitting so close that their legs were brushing up against each other. "This good coffee for one," she took a sip of her hot beverage. She returned to gazing at Josh, her eyes locked on his lips.

"What else?" Josh felt himself leaning in slightly, a small smirk on his face.

"Uh- Um-" Devon stalled. She knew that she wanted to kiss Josh. His lips were right there and they were so inviting and looked so soft but she couldn't. Going any farther with Josh wasn't an option for her. "Look at your tie!" She leaned away slightly. "It's all crooked," she placed her coffee behind her and she grabbed his neck tie, adjusting it. "Let me just fix it for you."

Devon, instead of fixing it, purposely tried to make it worse. She tugged it so that it was looser and then pulled it tighter again, trying her best to spend as much time as possible on it.

"I-I think it's fine now," Josh told her.

"Just let me uh," Devon found herself gazing at him again, hands slowly fumbling with his neck tie. "Fix it." She said slowly, letting out a heavy exhale. She too felt herself leaning in.

However, Josh didn't set his coffee down when Devon did.

Before either of the two could protest, Josh's morning coffee was somehow hit by one of them and transferred from his cup to his lap, the hot liquid seeping through his pants.

Devon gasped and jump off the desk, covering her mouth as she did so. "I'm so sorry!"

Josh stood on his feet and tried to keep his pants from sticking to his legs. "Wow, it burns." He stated, trying to stay as calm as possible.

"I'm so sorry," she told him again. "I think I have some napkins in my desk just uh," she circled behind her desk and pulled a small stack of napkins out, slamming the cabinet like compartment shut. "I'll help," she circled back to Josh, ignoring the bit that had spilled on the floor tiles.

Without thinking of what would result from her actions, Devon got down on her knees and started rubbing a handful of napkins around his thighs.

When the classroom door opened, Devon didn't even hear it. She was too distracted by everything that was going on - Josh biting his lip with no idea what to do, her awkwardness.

Her thoughts were halted by the voice of a friend. "Am I interrupting something?" Tyler asked, a large grin already spread on his face.

"Nothing at all," Devon pulled herself up, using the desk for support.

"Are you sure about that?" Tyler asked. "Because it looks like-"

Before Tyler could protest, both Devon and Josh punched his shoulders. Devon punched right while Josh got left.

"You literally have no reason to be here Tyler," Devon told him.
