Devon fainted again.

Luckily, since they were standing so close, Josh was able to catch her before she fell and hit the floor.

"H-Help!" Josh yelled as he held Devon up as best as he could. He did not want to let her fall to the ground and hit her head like she did the previous time.

Tyler came rushing in, immediately going for the phone.

"We need to take her to the hospital." Josh told him. "Call 911."

Josh stayed in his place, not wanting to lead Devon to a chair. He did not want to hurt her when she was dead weight.

"We need an ambulance at Clinton elementary. There's a woman who keeps passing out." Tyler described. Then, he called the main office, letting them know the situation.

"Come on Dev," Josh shook his unconscious girlfriend, pushing her hair from her face. "We're gonna get you to the hospital, okay?"

"What even happened?" Tyler asked, helped Josh keep Devon up.

"S-She hasn't been feeling well lately," Josh shook his head. "It's the second time and I-I-" his voice cracked as he stopped his sentence.

"Go with her," Tyler told him. "I'll cover you."

Devon was out that time longer than she was the previous time. Once they got to the hospital, she was immediately taken in for examination.

Josh was forced to sit in the waiting room, but instead of doing nothing, he decided to make himself useful by helping fill out her paperwork. He wasn't able to fill out things that involved insurance, but he did as much as he could until a nurse came out, saying that Devon requested to see him.

"Dev?" Josh got up as soon as he heard his name called. When he got into her room, her bed was elevated as she drank apple juice and ate a small pack of crackers. "Dev," He let out a relieved sigh as he sat next to her. "You're okay."

"You're so dramatic." Devon rolled her eyes. "I was fine to begin with."

"No," Josh argued. "You fainted again."

"My blood pressure just dropped ," Devon explained. "It's nothing huge."

"Did they do an ultrasound?" Josh asked.

"Not yet," Devon shook her head. "They said as soon as it's available."

"When's that?"Josh kept on.

"As soon as it is." Devon sassed.

Josh handed her a clip board with paperwork. "I filled out as much as I could so it's less work for you," he explained. "But I don't know your insurance information."

"That's okay." Devon took the board. "I don't either."

Josh laughed as he sat back, trying to let his tension settle. He didn't want to be worried the entire time he was there.

"Good afternoon Miss Taylor," another nurse came in, pushing a cart with a machine on it in front of her. "Ready for your ultrasound?"

"We've been ready." Josh replied.

"Did she say Mr. Dun?" She gave her boyfriend a look.

Josh put his hands up defensively before he got up. "I'll go into the waiting room."

So Josh left, leaving Devon with the ultrasound technician and the nurse.

"We're just gonna lift your shirt up," the nurse described. "The cream's a bit cold okay?"
