"Lady Grelane?".
Lady Rochford grabs Anne's hand and leads her to the Queens bed.
"The Queen had passed"
Anne looks at the queen, who despite being so much pain before she went, looks peaceful.
"You have to tell Mary and somehow tell the King carefully. Tell Mary first and ask Cromwell to help you with the King".
A maid opens the door to Mary's room, letting her in. Anne curtseys to Mary.
"Yes?".
"The queen has...passed"
She nods, her eyes began to fill with tears. "Thank you, Lady Grelane, you may go now"
She walks down the stairs carefully and along the corridor when Thomas Cromwell walks past.
"Master Cromwell"
"Lady Grelane, how is the queen".
"I am afraid she has passed"
"Come with me".
Cromwell walks back to the audience chamber and she follows. He pushes his way through until they get to the Kings door. A guard opens it, both of them stepping in.
"Stay here and I will tell the King"
Anne stands in the dining room while he continues to the King's bedroom. She listens to the conversation.
"Your Majesty".
"Cromwell, have you any news?".
"Indeed".
"Well?".
"The queen has passed, Your Majesty".
Cromwell comes back out, telling Anne to go back and tell Lady Rochford that she told who she needed to.. When she walks inside, servants are already taking items out and cleaning. Lady Rochford nods at her.
...
The days go by, the court is silent and the King has locked himself away in his rooms with William Sommers, his jester. Lady Rochford has been spending her days in the chapel. Anne has been walking in the gardens and exploring the castle. Mary Boleyn was planning to come back to court but she is with child. Anne sent her a letter, congratulating her and telling her of sad news of the Queen's passing.
The other day, she found a little gate hidden in the gardens, about to venture in but Cromwell was calling out to her to tell some news. The news was that Elizabeth is coming for a visit to see her new brother and since the king is not reachable, Cromwell will allow it.
But today, Anne makes her way through the garden. Along the roses, to the small gate, opening the gate which leads to a little garden. The garden is overgrown but there a way through it. Finally, she reaches a door and pushes on it. The door opens and she steps inside. There are bookshelves, paper all over the floor. Over to the left, there is a staircase that she walks over to and opens the door.
There is a large table in the centre. On the table is a drawing of axes, swords, broken hearts and broken wedding rings. She frown and looks around more. The glass in a window is broken and the wind blowing in. Some of the bookshelves are slanted
After looking around some more, Anne decides to head back because it is becoming night, walking back out the door and into the overgrown garden. Reaching the small gate, her dress is caught on a rose thorn. It is a deep blood red colour. She fixes my dress and continues on.
The castle door opens and a guard smiles at me.
"Lady Grelane, would you like me to escort you back you your chambers?".
Anne nods and the guard walks with her to her room.
"Thank you"
He nods and walks off.
"Lady Grelane?" A maid calls out.
"Yes".
"I brought you some dinner because you missed it". Anne thanks her, going into her room and sits at the table to eat.
