After the two girls had finished with their pizza, Camila went to the toilet, with a massive grin on her face. Babe babe babe babe babe babe. The smaller girl repeated over and over in her head. Baaaabeeeee. Camila gushed, drying her hands on the towel and making her way back to the green eyed girl who was currently frowning at her phone. Obviously Lauren hadn't noticed the return of Camila's presence, so the smaller girl dismantled the empty pizza box and stuffed it into the recycling bag underneath the kitchen sink, again returning in the living room to see the same expression upon Lauren's face.
"Smile, pretty girl," Camila charmingly spoke, parting her lips and lightly placing her finger tips on the porcelain skinned girls chin, tilting her head up. "You look pretty when you smile, I mean, you look pretty anyway but more so when you smile, I'm blabbering aren't I?" Camila giggled, however intent on maintaining eye contact while the girl she was focusing on was staring at her lips. Camila felt a smile creep up onto her lips when she noticed what the green eyes were staring at, then Lauren gained eye contact again, letting a smile grace her lips.
"That's the smile," The brown eyed girl cooed, withdrawing her fingers from Lauren's face and flopping back down on the sofa, causing the dark haired girl to pout just a tiny bit. Camila noticed this and smirked to herself slightly, feeling butterflies burst inside of her. But then Lauren turned her attention back to her phone and her eyebrows furrowed again along with her jaw line clenching.
"Phone." Camila's voice broke the silence, harsher than usual, her hand held out in front of her. "In my hand. Now." And Lauren had to admit, she liked this stricter side of Camila so willingly, surrendered her phone, turning her body so that she was fully facing the smaller girl who now had possession of her phone and a smug smile place upon her face.
"Let's talk." Camila suggested, the same tone to her voice while she slid Lauren's phone into her back pocket, making Lauren smirk at where her phone now is.
"Talk about what?" The green eyed girl asked, genuinely interested.
"You. Me. Our past, present, future and so on," Camila calmly said, but noticing Lauren's jaw clench again quickly began talking again.
"My real name is Karla but if you call me that I will actually kill you so keep that in mind," The brown eyed girl began, "I used to live in Miami with my mum, dad and younger sister but when I came out to them, I felt something change within the way they treated me, they became less loving in a way and it kind of affected my relationship with my younger sister, so I moved out here. Ermm... what else?" Camila asked herself, "oh yeah, I'm Cuban and I went to a music school back in Miami, my job here was in a bar but like I mentioned before, I got fired because I was constantly starting arguments with the customers," she lightly laughed to herself as she ran a hand through her hair. "And if you hadn't noticed, I have a very strong passion for bananas and unicorns." Camila concluded, with a large grin on her face.
"Did you say that you're Cuban? And from Miami?!" The green eyed girl spoke up from her spot on the sofa, her eyes widening slightly with delight.
"Uh huh," Camila nodded.
"No way! Me too!" Lauren gushed, smiling, "debemos ser almas gemelas! (We must be soulmates)" The green eyed girl laughed, causing Camila to own the largest grin in the world. Soulmates. Also Lauren speaking Spanish did something to her. Even though Lauren meant it as a joke, Camila took this Spanish comment seriously and remained with a smile on her face.
"So you?" The brown eyed girl asked, gesturing for Lauren to begin speaking.
"Funnily enough we actually have a lot in common. I grew up in Miami, I'm Cuban and my relationship with my family also went downhill since I came out to them... I have a younger brother and sister who I sometimes stay in contact with but only rarely. I used to play softball a lot and..." Camila zoned out on the rest of what the green eyed girl was saying because she was imagining Lauren in the tight softball bottoms, making her butt look...
"Camilaaaaa," Lauren sung, leaning forward until she was inches away from Camila's face.
"Oh shit!" Camila jumped, noticing the sudden closeness between the two girls. Lauren laughed to herself, straightening back up.
"I asked if you ever played any sports when you were younger," The raven haired girl repeated her previous question.
"Ha! Me?! Play sports?!" Camila laughed hysterically, rolling about in laughter, causing her to fall off the sofa and land with a thump on the ground, transferring the hysterical laugh onto Lauren while she clutched her sides at the site of Camila on the floor.
"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" Camila whined from her position on the floor, pouting again, "My butt hurts,"
Lauren held her hand out to the girl on the ground, "Sorry, babe," THERE IT IS AGAIN! Camila internally screamed. "Should I kiss it better for you?" The green eyed girl cooed, causing the brown eyed girl to literally burst into flames her cheeks were so red. Trying to act innocent as if she didn't catch onto what she had just said, Lauren carried on speaking acting like she was talking to a baby.
"What did I say wrong?" The green eyed girl devilishly smirked.
"Nuh-thing," Camila protested, disregarding Lauren's hand standing up herself, and walking over to the kitchen to grab a banana while Lauren looked at the smaller girls bum.
"Now what are you looking at?" Camila suddenly asked, causing Lauren to quickly move her eyes elsewhere.
"Er...umm... my phone?"
"Are you sure about that, pretty girl?" Camila asked calmly, even though she was dieing inside, "I think you'll notice that your phone had fallen out of my pocket and is laying by your feet," The brown eyed girl continued, taking a bite of her banana.
"Well, it's not like you haven't been looking at mine, while we're on the topic," Lauren smirked to herself turning to face the other way.
"Shut up!" Camila shouted. Then Lauren felt something hit the back of her head.
"What the..." The green eyed girl mumbled, turning around to see a banana peel laying next to her.
"Oopsie daisy," Camila laughed, sauntering away to her bedroom
"Where are you going?!" Lauren pouted, staring after the younger girl.
"What, you're not enjoying the view?" Camila flirted, wiggling her hips slightly. Lauren had to admit, the view was something she liked to look out.
"Well I can't complain," The green eyed girl winked at the younger girl.
"I'll be right back, don't miss me too much," Camila grinned at the girl sitting on the sofa, turning back around and disappearing behind her bedroom door.
Glancing around the room, Lauren's eyes fell onto the guitar still standing by the window so picked it up and began strumming mindlessly.
I'm sorry if I seem uninterested
Or I'm not listening, or I'm indifferent
Truly I ain't got no business here
But since my friends are here, I just came to kick it
But really I would rather be at home all by myself
Not in this room with people
Who don't even care about my well being
I don't dance, don't ask, I don't need a boyfriend
So you can go back, please enjoy your party"I'll be here," A voice joined in with Lauren's raspy, causing the green eyed girl to jump and abruptly stop playing.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt you," Camila spoke, running a hand through her hair, "that was beautiful,"
"Thank you," Lauren shyly said, her cheeks turning slightly pink, "I didn't think it was that good though, I haven't played in a while," She placed the guitar back in the corner and walked over to Camila.
"I miss her," Lauren pouted, her green eyes slightly filling with tears. Camila noticed this and quickly wrapped her arms around the slightly older girls neck, guiding her head to rest on her shoulder and placing a gentle kiss on her temple.
"I've got you,"
