"I need to go back to Miami,"
As soon as the words left Camila's lips, Lauren knew that something bad had happened and didn't hesitate to grab some essentials, stuff them into a bag and tell the brown eyed girl to get ready to go to Miami. If Lauren never had to go back to Miami again, she would be more than pleased, there were so many bad memories there and someone would be bound to recognize her and run to tell her mother that her daughter was back in town, but Lauren had to push that aside because her main priority now is Camila.
"Are you ready, Camz?" Lauren called from the living room, lacing her boots up.
"Coming!" Camila replied, sniffling quietly, and shuffling out of her bedroom with puffy eyes.
The sight of Camila looking so weak and upset broke Lauren's heart so she instantly wrapped an arm around the younger girl, kissing her cheek and leading her out the door with a bag slung over her shoulders.
"My car is back in the car park at my old place so we'll go there and get it, is that alright?" The green eyed girl asked tentatively, rubbing the smaller girls arm comfortingly while she subtly nodded.
Within fifteen minutes, the girls had arrived at the car park and as the two Latina's made there way towards Lauren's car, an unmistakable voice could be heard.
"What up Laur! How's life treating ya?!"
"Fuck," Lauren whispered under her breath.
"Answer me then!" The voice rang out and Camila could've sworn that she'd heard it before.
"Dinah, now is not the time!" Lauren shouted to the girl standing nearby as the younger girls eyes widened slightly.
"So there will be a time, yeah? Maybe we can go out sometime soon, I hear there's a party next..."
"Dinah can you just fuck off?!" Lauren suddenly screamed, her voice booming through the car park. "What do you not understand? We are no longer together, you fucking cheated on me, I want nothing to do with you ever again!" She concluded, reaching her car at the same time as Dinah arrived.
Shit. Camila thought, better just keep my head down.
"And who's this?" Dinah asked, nodding towards Camila.
"None of your business. We need to go. Good riddance," The green eyed girl defiantly said, unlocking her car and chucking the bag in.
"Come on, let's go," Lauren whispered to Camila who hadn't lifted her head up yet.
"Aw, is someone a little shy?" Dinah taunted, grabbing Camila's arm as she turned around and forcing her head to shoot up in surprise.
"The fuck?" Dinah questioned, instantly recognizing Camila's face. Then Lauren remembered what Camila had told her about her encounter with Dinah in the shop.
"Don't. Fucking. Touch. Her." Lauren hissed, shoving Dinah back with each word while Camila quickly scrambled into the car.
"Hey, Dinah, I'm ready to go," Another voice rang out. Rolling her eyes, Lauren turned around after giving Dinah one last glare and got into the car, slamming the door and driving off, somehow avoiding the temptation of hitting Dinah with it.
"Puta," (bitch) The green eyed girl muttered, pulling out of the car park and heading off down the road.
"Stop!" Camila suddenly screamed, fiddling with the door handle and nearly jumping out of the moving car in the middle of the road.
"Woah, woah, woah!" Lauren shouted, pulling over to a sudden stop and grabbing Camila's arm to pull her back in.
"Camila you can't do that!" The green eyed girl suddenly shouted, running a hand through her hair then instantly regretting it as the younger girls eyes began to fill with tears. "Crap, I'm sorry," Lauren quickly said, placing a hand on Camila's leg and rubbing it soothingly.
