"Don't worry baby. I'll be there,"
"You've grown so much Lauren. Who would've thought you could've become even more beautiful," Mrs Steinfeld cooed, her eyes shining under the dim lighting.
Lauren and Camila were sat at a table in the restaurant of the hotel with Mr and Mrs Steinfeld and their daughter Hailee.
"So how did you two lovely ladies meet?" Mr Steinfeld asked as he took a mouthful of his pasta. Lauren always classed the Steinfeld's as her second family. They all accepted her and genuinely seemed as if they cared about her.
"I was looking for a place to live and saw an advertisement for a roommate and it just so happened to end up being the love of my life," Lauren explained, and Camila squeezed her girlfriends hand gently while giving her an adoring smile.
"Aw, that's so cute," Hailee smiled softly at the couple. "You know, I'm still dating that guy you set me up with three years ago," She said, a small blush creeping onto her cheeks.
"No way! How is Shawn?" Lauren asked happily.
"He's great! I think he's stopping by tomorrow, I'll text you," She said as her phone buzzed next to her. "Oh look, it's him now. Excuse me," Hailee said before pushing her chair back and walking towards the door.
"So how have you been?" Lauren asked Hailee's parents. The rest of the dinner flowed very smoothly, Hailee rejoining them and the conversation continuing easily.
"Good night Lauren and Camila and the room... Christmas present from us," Mr Steinfeld said with a small smile on his face.
"Thank you so much," Lauren smiled, leaning in to hug Mr and Mrs Steinfeld which Camila then did the same. "I'll see you tomorrow, Haiz?" Lauren asked as she pulled one of Hailee's hands into her own, sparking some jealousy in Camila.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Hailee laughed, pulling Lauren into a hug. "Ugh, I have missed you," Hailee sighed.
"I've missed you too," Lauren said happily, squeezing her old friends hand which Camila also took note of. Wanting it to end, Camila not so subtly yawned loudly. "Tired, babe?" Lauren asked, letting go of Hailee and wrapping an arm around her girlfriends waist.
"Yeah," Camila quietly said, a small and smug smile on her face.
"Okay," Lauren said, placing a kiss on Camila's head. "We'll see you later," Lauren said, giving a small wave to the Steinfelds and leading Camila to the elevator. Once inside, Camila held her arms up with a pout on her face .
"Carry me please," She said quietly, doing a proper yawn this time.
"Of course," Lauren smiled softly, picking her girlfriend up into her arms. Camila sighed happily and let her head rest on Lauren's shoulders as they made their way to their room.
"My head hurts," Camila whispered when Lauren lay her down on the bed.
"Okay babe, just lay down. I'll be with you in a minute," Lauren said, pecking Camila lightly then digging through her bag for a painkiller. "Here," Lauren handed her girlfriend the tablet and a bottle of water.
"Thank you," Camila whispered. "I love you," She said, trying to get her arms out of her top. "Careful," She said quietly when Lauren began to help her.
"I know. Don't worry," Lauren said, leaving her girlfriends top by the cupboard and carefully unwrapping the bandage on her wrist.
"Ow," Camila mumbled when Lauren pulled off the final layer.
"I'm sorry baby," Lauren said, kissing Camila's temple gently. "Do you want your shorts?" The green eyed girl asked, opening her suitcase.
"Yes please," Camila nodded. "And one of your t-shirts please," She added. Lauren chucked the two items at her girlfriend and pulled on her own set of clothes.
