"I'd like to adopt Malin,"

That afternoon, Lauren returned home with a collar in her bag and great news for her girlfriend.

She wasn't able to take Malin home with her that day as they had tests to run and forms to fill, and even with Lauren being warned about possible difficulties that could occur, she already knew how much Camila loves the dog and wouldn't waste any time in showing affection to him. Hopefully by next week they would have a bundle of fur running around their apartment.

Lauren made her way up the stairs and opened the door where Camila was nervously pacing.

"Is Shay in the hospital?" Camila asked as soon as she saw Lauren enter their apartment. "Why are you smiling? Lauren what the hell did you do?" The younger girl asked, standing right in front of her girlfriend with a distressed expression on her face.

"I didn't even see Shay," Lauren mumbled, but for the life of her she couldn't keep the smile from forming on her face.

"So what took you so long?" Camila questioned, following Lauren as she walked past into the kitchen. As the green eyed girl walked into the kitchen, she realised that she wanted to do something special to tell Camila that they were going to adopt Malin.

"I'll be right back!" Lauren suddenly exclaimed, giving Camila a quick kiss then jogging to her bedroom to get money and then rushing down the stairs without any words of defiance from Camila.

"Lauren! Wha-" But of course Lauren didn't hear this because by the time that the words slipped out of Camila's lips, the green eyed girl was already half way down the stairs.

Lauren jogged down the street until she arrived at the familiar flower shop that she had been to a few times before. She didn't look around that much but picked a bunch of purple flowers, coordinated with cream and pale pink petals. She quickly paid the cashier and as she walking out, she pulled the collar out of her bag and placed it in the lining of the flower wrapping.

And within ten minutes, Lauren was back home.

"Oh my God Lauren, you better have a good exc- Flowers! What the hell did you do?" Camila questioned, as she looked at the bouquet in Lauren's hands.

"Nothing," Lauren said, raising her perfectly sculpted eyebrows slightly. "I mean, not nothing... but nothing bad," She explained, taking a step towards Camila and holding the bunch of flowers out to her. "For you," Lauren smiled leaning forward to give Camila a gentle kiss.

Camila instantly noticed that the bunch of flowers were slightly heavier then they would normally be.

"Thank you," Camila said giving Lauren a weird look before closing her eyes and breathing in the smell of the flowers, but as she opened her eyes, she noticed something in the lining.

A teal kind of colour... collar. The brown eyed girl pulled the collar out while Lauren watched with a smile on her face. "Why is there a-" Camila stopped speaking when she noticed the round tag. "Are you serious?" The brown eyed girl asked, her jaw dropping open slightly in surprise.

"I'm serious," Lauren replied, a grin spreading onto her face as Camila's eyes widened in happiness as well as surprise. Pure joy.

"Oh my gosh! What!?" Camila exclaimed, jumping and wrapping her legs around Lauren's waist. The green eyed girl easily caught her ecstatic girlfriend, knowing she made the right decision. "I love you so much," Camila said with love and adoration visible in her.

"I love you more," Lauren said quietly, closing the small gap between the two girls. At first the kisses were delicate, lips lightly pressing against each other. They were tender but passionate gestures, filled with adoration and love. When the lack of oxygen became too much, Camila pulled away, leaning her forehead against Lauren's with small breaths escaping from both of the Latinas lips.
Camila found her feet securely back on the ground and closed her eyes briefly before throwing her arms over Lauren's shoulders and holding onto the older girl tightly. "I really love you," Camila spoke in a quiet voice.
