Chapter 34

"By the way, if Shay tries anything again, she'll wish she hadn't,"

"Remember what I said," Lauren said, kissing Camila before she left for work.

"Yes I know, she'll wish she hadn't," Camila repeated, letting go of the older girls hand and taking a few reluctant steps towards the door. "I love you," She said, opening the door.

"I love you too," Lauren smiled, giving a small wave as the brown eyed girl disappeared out the door.

As soon as Camila had left, Lauren changed into a pair of light coloured jeans and a white sweatshirt along with white Adidas trainers. Grabbing a bag with a notebook, pen and couple other things in it, she left to go to Cowell Medical School for the open day and to maybe apply to attend in the new year.

"Welcome to Cowell Medical School, are you here for the open day?" A middle aged woman asked Lauren.

"Yes," Lauren replied.

"If you would like to go through and wait, someone will come out to take you through," The green eyed girl walked through the pine double doors leading to a waiting area where most of the seats were taken by people around the same age as Lauren. After a few minutes, a man dressed in a black t shirt and faded jeans came through to lead the group through to one of the auditoriums. Lauren sat down in one of the seats and put her attention on the stage, not really wanting to talk to anyone around her and mainly focus on learning about what she was here to do.

"Hey, I'm Selena," A voice said as they sat down next to Lauren. Not wanting to be rude, Lauren introduced herself and thankfully the man who brought the group in began talking on the stage.

"Hello. I'm Simon Cowell, head of this school. Welcome everyone," He said. "I'm guessing that all of you are here today because you want to progress into the world of health and medicine and become doctors, nurses, etcetera. Cowell Medical School is one of the best schools in New York and hopefully we'll be able to welcome some of you for the new term," Simon Cowell continued to talk about achievements of his school and the various sectors that they offer to practice and learn for.

"We're going to split you up into groups for a tour of our grounds and the groups have already been selected from when you signed in earlier," He then proceeded to put people into the selected groups and sent off in different directions. As Lauren waited for her tour guide to finish explaining the route and handing out the maps, she heard name being called.

"Hey, Lauren, we're in the same group!" Selena said as she came into view of the green eyed girl.

"Oh hey... Selena right?" Lauren asked, beginning to walk with the rest of the group.

"Yeah! So why do you want to come here?" Selena asked as they turned a corner.

Not wanting to tell the stranger about her real reason, wanting to do this for Sofi, Lauren decided to tell her that she wants to try something new and also go back into education which Selena seemed to believe as she said that was her reason too.

The tour went quite well, they were shown every part of the school and taught about the different courses available, and Selena kept Lauren company. At the end of the tour and when Lauren had received all the leaflets and forms she needed, she decided that she was most interested in studying and becoming a pediatrician, partially because it involves working with children.

"Lauren, what course might you sign up for?" Selena asked, appearing next to the green eyed girl.

"Paediatrics," Lauren said, pointing to it on the paper.

"No way! Me too!" Selena exclaimed. "Wouldn't it be crazy if we both get excepted and are in the same class!"

When Lauren first met Selena, hearing that would've made Lauren frown, however after getting to know her, she realised that maybe it would be something good and she could find a potential friend in the other Latina.
