Chapter 5

Sarah's POV
We get to the location of the silent brothers temple which was under an abandoned bridge. We get out of Simon's van, "yeah this place isn't creepy, not one bit", Simon says sarcastically, "don't tell me your afraid", Isabelle says, "are you kidding me I was born afraid, wait that sounded better in my head", Simon says, "let's check it out", me and Alec say at the same time as we walk forward the others follow behind. "Hey", Alec says pulling my brother to the side, "if something happens to her it's on us you know that right", "and you know exactly what would happen if Valentine gets the cup before we do. She's lost everything Alec, I know what the feels like remember, and what's your problem with her anyways, your family always used to welcome strays", Jace says, "you and Sarah were never strays", Alec says, "the point is we are in this fight together just this time there is more of us", Jace says looking at me.

We make it to the entrance to the city of bones. "I can do this", Clary breaths, "yeah you can your Clary fricken fray", Simon say and was about to go in but Jace stops him, "surprise surprise no mundanes allowed just like in the training room, right, wrong I have seen every horror movie ever made and the funny best friend left behind is always the first one to die", Simon says, me and Isabelle chuckle, "your not that funny", Jace says, "but by all means go ahead", Simons starts to walk in, "the first minute you enter you'll die", Jace says, "see the problem is that I don't trust you anymore", Simon says turning around, "he's not wrong", I say, "the rune energy in the city of bones will kill any mundane who dares to enter", Alec says, "the silent brothers creep me out", Isabelle says, "same", I respond, "I'll mind the mundane", Isabelle says, "such a sacrifice Izzy", Jace mumbles, "talk about sacrifice I'm missing financial studies class right now", Simon says, "I can't be here right now I'm going to go mind the perimeter", Alec says, "I'm going with him, the mundane is giving me a head ache", I say following Alec.

As we were walking around Alec snakes his arm around me, "I love you", he says out of no where making me smile, "I love you too", I say snuggling closer to his body, he stops suddenly and turns to me, out of no where he pushes me against the nearby pole and starts kissing me on the lips, I kiss back pulling on his Raven locks, he pulls back to breath as he grins at me, "I could get used to that", I say breathlessly, his response was giving me a quick kiss on the lips, "come on let's go back", he says taking my hand, "so much for checking the perimeter", I joke, "I just wanted to do that without suspicion from our siblings", he says, "noted, lets get back before Izzy does something to the mundane", I say, Alec chuckles as we continue walking.

We get back to Isabelle and Simon as they were standing by the fire, "so does cracking someone's mind open take this long", Simon asks, "Jace has it covered", Alec responds leaning against the wall as I lean against him as he automatically puts his arms around me, "take my word for it the silent brothers are quite unpleasant", Isabelle says flirty, "slut", I fake cough, "not helping", Simon says shaking his head, "not at all. What if Clary can't handle the brothers what-", "it literally doesn't stop talking", Alec says cutting Simon off, "is he always so charming", Simon asks sarcastically, "first born, heavy as the head that wears the crown", Isabelle says, "I'm an only son", Simon says, "mom wants me to be a CPA", "what do you want to be", Isabelle asks, "'me, I'm in a band", Simon says, "yeah what do you play, wait let me guess Indi-rock", she say, "yeah", Simon says, "got anything on your phone", Isabelle says, "yeah but I left it in the car", Simon says, "let's go get it then", Isabelle says linking arms with Simon, "where's it going", Alec asks, "we'll be right back", Isabelle says, I could tell Alec raised his eyebrow because Isabelle said, "what he passes the time", they walk off leaving me and Alec alone, "you don't trust Isabelle with the mundane", I ask, "not one bit", Alec responds.

Clary and Jace soon return from inside but Clary looked disturbed, "what happened, what did you find out", Alec asks, "Valentine is Clary's father", Jace says, "wait your telling us this girl shows up out of no where and she's Valentine's daughter, did it occur to you that she might be a spy", Alec snaps, "that's enough Alec", I say, "do you think I planned for my mom to get kidnapped or for Dot to get taken or for there to be a giant sword dangling over my head to find out my father is one of the most dangerous people in the world, really", Clary says on the verge of tear, I wrap my arms around her in a hug, "where's Simon", she asks, Isabelle comes running towards us without Simon, "I told him to stay in the van while I went to check out a strange noise", Isabelle says, "he's gone", Clary asks, "I can't find him", Isabelle says, "you were supposed to protect him", Clary snaps pushing past us, "Simon", she calls running away, "these mundanes are killing me", I say as we start following Clary.

We make it to the van but nothing was there, "Simon", Clary calls out, "is that the mundanes name", we hear, we look up to see Camille and Raphael dangling Simon from his feet over the ledge, "I'm afraid Simon is coming with us", Raphael says, "no he's not a part of this", Clary says, "then it would be my pleasure to kill you", Jace says, "don't we would be violating the accords", Alec says, "I'm afraid your side kick's quite right, the night children have broken no laws, we are negotiating, the mundane for the mortal cup. And the clock is ticking, tick tock people", Raphael says, "Clary", Simons screams, "Simon", Clary responds, the vampires dash off with Simon, "no", Clary cries out.
