Chapter 30

Sarah's POV
The next day after a lot of planning, me and Isabelle plan on getting Jace and Alec to talk while Clary and Lydia finish with the decorations. Isabelle calls Jace to a bar we rented out as she brings Alec, I hide behind the bar as Alec and Isabelle walk in with Alec in a blindfold. "You trust me don't you", Isabelle says, "no not really and I told you I don't need a bachelor party", Alec says, "you need this, now count to 10 before removing  your blindfold", Isabelle says before running around and dashing behind the counter with me.

Alec huffs,"really Izzy", he says before he removes his blindfold, and looks around, "seriously", he says looking around, just then Jace walks in and Alec crosses his arms in annoyance. "Izzy said you needed to talk to me", Jace says, "I don't know what she thought I wanted to say", Alec says, "great i guess i'll go. Got work to do anyway", Jace says turning and walking towards the stairs but stops, "dammit Izzy", he mutters probably realizing she was right. He turns back around, "she's right we do need to talk", he says walking back towards Alec, "OK its my bachelor party so you go first", Alec says, "I don't know how things got so messed up between us, but I do know my life has been so hard not having you to talk to", Jace admits, Alec looks down before looking up at Jace, "me too", he says, "I know it seems like I have been making a lot of crazy choices lately and I know you think I was only thinking about myself and Clary and I wasn't thinking about the consequences to anyone else. All I can say is that I have been going through a lot, but I only did what I through was right Alec, I never wanted to hurt you, I'm sorry", Jace says, "I know, we just get caught in all this drama", Alec says, Jace laughs, "yeah you were getting married to Lydia only to change and propose to my sister", Jace says, "and Clary is also your sister, what's up with that", Alec says, "don't even get me started on that", Jace says sitting on the bench.

"I kissed her, its worse I wanted her, I was falling in love", Jace says probably referring to Clary making me and Isabelle's eyes widen, "must be sick or something", Jace says, Alec sits beside him, "no your not sick, situations just happen. its confusing and trust me I know. You know its like you have this plan for your life and you know what you need to do and your responsibilities are and if you follow the rules everything will be fine. Then you meet someone or develop feelings for someone and it pushes you off the path", Alec says, "hey I get it and I know how much you love Sarah", Jace says. "The point is that we are shadowhunter, sometimes emotions get in the way and if you get knocked off the path you focus and find something or someone to help you get back on the path", Alec says, "you also have to stay true to yourself", Jace says, "I am", Alec says standing up, "I'm fulfilling my duty to myself and to Sarah", he sighs, "look can you be my best man and give me away", Alec asks, "is that what you want, I'd be honored, i'm always going to be here for you", Jace asks standing up, "me too", Alec says, they do a bro shake. Me and Isabelle draw shoundless runes as well as invisibility runes before sneaking away as if we never were there.

No one's POV
The day of the wedding everyone was excited, Alec was up on the alter waiting for Sarah to walk down the isle, Jace was beside him, Maryse and Robert walk up to Alec, "you told everyone you were marrying Lydia, why the sudden change", Maryse asks, "I realized where my heart belonged and Its with Sarah", Alec says, "you have made me so proud", Maryse says fixing his suit before her and Robert take their seats with the rest of the guests. Soon the wedding starts Lydia walks down the isle carrying the union stele before Sarah walks in taking Alec's breath away at how beautiful she looks, when she gets to the alter she gives her flowers to Isabelle before taking the wedding band which she puts on his wrist, he then takes the wedding pendant from Jace before placing it around her neck, "it is time for Alec Lightwood and Sarah Wayland to mark each other with the wedding union rune. A mark on the wrist, a mark on the heart, a union is born", the silent brother says. The two exchange runes, "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride", the silent brother says, Alec takes Sarah's waist before kissing her lips before pulling away.

After everyone settled down and enjoyed the small party Magnus walks up to the happy couple, "my visit wasn't all for you guys, we have things to discuss in private", he says. The walk to the weapons's room where Magnus snaps his fingers and a whole bunch of things appear on the table, "I pulled everything I could from Ragnar's apartment but I can't determine which will lead to the book of the white", Magnus says making me look at everyone in confusion, "don't worry", Jace says to me, Clary picks up a bookmark, "wait I've seen this bookmark before, in the alternate dimension you showed me a book of spells and this was in there", she says, "wow you guys had all the fun without me", I say nudging my brother making the group chuckle, "anyway, if that's the case then we can use the bookmark to track the owner", Alec says. Jace goes to grab it but Magnus takes it first, "warlock tracking is stronger", he says closing his eyes for a moment before opening them, "good news is I managed to locate the owner, bad news is that it's Camille", Magnus says, "Camille", me and Clary gasp, "looks like Raphael has her locked in the basement of Hotel Dumont", Magnus says, "well after I punched her there is no way she'll help me", Clary say, "wait you punched Camille, you go girl ", I say high-fiving Clary, "besides she won't have a choice", Jace says before walking away.
