Chapter 28

Sarah's POV
Jace and Clary return with the cup and Jocelyn who was asleep, I walk into the infirmary where Clary, Jace and Jocelyn were, I run into my brother's arms, "are you ok", I ask, he looks over my shoulder and I look to see Alec standing there with his arms crossed, Jace lets go and walks over to Alec. "Clary gave Lydia the cup, Hodge is taking her to lock it up before she goes back to Idris", Jace says, Alec doesn't look at Jace but at me, "ok", he mutters, "ok, that's it Alec", Jace says making Alec look at him, "I don't want to get into it", Alec says turning to walk away, "stop", Jace says walking towards him, "I do want to get into it, you almost killed me, you weakened our Parababti bond just to find me and Sarah was nice enough to give me a heads up. You betrayed me", "you lied to me, you and Sarah attacked me when I was doing what we should have done together", Alec spits, "don't bring Sarah into this when you broke her heart and I didn't betray you Alec, I saved you from yourself", Jace says, "my brother's right if you had brought to be tortured you would have that guilty on your shoulders for the rest of your life", I say standing beside Jace, "really", Alec scoffs, "everything you do if for a higher principle, you took the cup and you nearly handed it over to Valentine", Alec says, "that was not our intention", Jace says, "our intention, was it your intention to risk Izzy's life or her and Sarah's bond, this isn't about Clary or Sarah this is about you, now I'm going to go tell my sister that she still has a future", Alec says walking away. Tears prickled my vision, "Sarah", Jace asks, I push him away and run to what used to be my room before closing the door before sinking down against the wall and sobbing, later I hear a knock on the door, "Sarah, it's Izzy", I hear, before the door opens, I felt a hand on my shoulder before looking up, "what's wrong", she asks, "wait let me guess, my brother again", I chuckle, "lately my brother has been making some stupid decisions am I right", she asks, I roll my eyes, "don't worry about Alec alright, your stronger than that", she helps me up, "thanks Isabelle", I say hugging her, "go talk to Alec I'm sure he'll understand", she says pushing me down the hall.

I find Alec with Magnus, "-you'll be lonely all your life and so will she. Neither of you deserve it, neither does Sarah plus I don't know what to do with these, you keep them", Magnus says handing back Alec's arrow and quiver before walking out, he sees me, "good luck", he says patting me on the shoulder. I walk up to Alec, "hey", I say, making him look up, "that's very brave of you giving up your favourite bow and quiver for Isabelle", I say, "listen Sarah I want to apologize for everything", he says putting his arrows and bow away, "it was stupid of me to go behind your back like that and I'm sorry", "I forgive you but it's going to be hard to earn my trust back", I say.

Lydia walks into the room, "hello Sarah", she says, "Lydia I just want to thank you for standing up for Isabelle", I say, "it's my pleasure", she says embracing me, "Alec, I just came to tell you should call off the marriage", "I have a better idea", Alec takes out a box before getting on one knee, "Sarah Wayland will you marry me", he asks opening the box which has a ring in it, I look to Lydia who nods, "yes I will", I say hugging Alec, "i love you and I am so sorry, I swear I will never hurt you again", he slips the ring onto my fingers. "Wait Lydia did you know about this", I ask, "yes because I knew how much you mean to each other and if it means I am giving up my dream to run an institute than so be it", she says, "thank you so much", I say hugging her, "you deserve it", she says.

The next days after telling everyone the good news everyone started preparing, I was talking to Isabelle when someone holding fabrics walked up to us, "Isabelle which fabric for the wedding tent", she asks, "the cobalt blue, elegant, masculine, defiantly Alec", Isabelle says making me nod my head in agreement, "how can we work with all this going around", Jace asks walking up to us, "come on we haven't had a wedding in ages plus it's Sarah's wedding", Isabelle say, "yeah people are allowed to be excited", I say as we follow Isabelle. "We need to focus, we narrowed down the warlocks who are more powerful than Magnus Bane", Jace says as we stop in front of a monitor, "I've got it down to 20", Isabelle says making the pictures appear, "it's going to be hard to figure out who cast that spell on Jocelyn", I say, "i don't care how tough it is we have to find him, back at Renwick's I let Valentine go, don't want to make that same mistake. We have to wake up Jocelyn in case she has information about Valentine", Jace says, "have you spoken to Alec", I ask knowing they are still mad at each other, "he's probably busy with wedding plans which you should be helping and I don't need to talk to anyone just stick to the mission", he says walking away. "What's up with him", I ask Isabelle, "he's upset because he found out Valentine is your real father", she says making me gasp, "what", I gasp, then I remember the box Clary went to get from her apartment, "wait the box", I say, "what box", Isabelle asks, "remember the box Clary went back to get it had the initials JSC on them", I say, "your right which means that it's true because it must stand for Jace, Sarah and Clary", Isabelle says, "whatever, I'm going to go find Alec alright", I say, "ok", Isabelle says before I walk away.
