Chapter 7

Sarah's POV
Time Skip~

We use Simon's van to go to a cemetery, although I am a Shadowhunter I have a huge fear of cemeteries because the last time I went me and Jace were 9 playing around when demons popped up and almost pulled me into the ground, ever since then I vowed to never go to a cemetery again, only Jace knows about my fear. As everyone gets out I stay in the van with my knees up to my chest as I shake like a dog, Alec notices I'm not getting out of the van, "Sarah", he asks cautiously, I look up at with tear stained eyes, he gets into the van and sits beside me, "what's wrong", he asks in the most caring voice, "I-I'm afraid of cemeteries", I stutter, I expected him to laugh but he just brings me close, "it's ok I'll make sure nothing is going to hurt you", he says, Isabelle sticks her head into the van, "you two coming", she says, "yeah, come on Sarah", Alec says helping me out of the van.

"Who's grave is it", Alec asks as I was holding onto him in fear, "Mary Milligan born January 10, 1802 to January 10 1978", Isabelle says, "alright let's go", Jace says, "wait what are we looking for", Clary asks, "stash of weapons", Isabelle says, "and they are stashed with Ms. Milligan", Jace says, "why are there weapons in a church yard", Clary asks, "because all religions recognized demons or at least they used to", Isabelle says, "they forgot about the threat because we are here to protect them, typical mundane failure of imagination", Alec says, "are you saying we do too good of a job, you just can't let up can you", Isabelle snaps, "you know what Alec why don't you two go check by the Angel", Jace says, Alec rolls his eyes as we walk to the Angel.

"You ok", he asks as we look around, "not really", I say looking around frantically, Alec grabs my shoulders, "look nothing you think is going to happen", he says, "yeah well you don't know what happened", I snap noticing the hurt in his eyes, "your right I don't know", he says bitterly turning from me, "no Alec don't I'm sorry I just have a bad experience with graveyards", I say making him face me. Isabelle's phone beeps, "excellent he's home", she says making us turn to her, "I'm out of here", she says walking away, "aren't you coming with us", Clary asks, "oh I wouldn't miss it for the world but I have to find out how to get into the vampire lair", Isabelle says continuing to walk away, "don't do anything I wouldn't do", Jace says, "use protection", I say. "Jace", Alec calls, "over here", I say, "ok I'm coming", Jace says walking over to us, "we are crossing into vampire territory", Alec says, "that's the point, come on Alec cheer up", Jace says, "dammit Jace, think this through you don't even like this guy this isn't about the mundane this is about Clary. I mean your so desperate to get lairs that you risk killing us", Alec says, "wow that's so wrong I am going to pretend I didn't hear", Jace says turning but I stopped him, "that's the point your not listening not to this or to anything we have said tonight we barely know this girl why do you trust her", I say, "let me guess this is about her being Valentine's daughter, we've been through this Alec, Sarah, you can trust her or not I don't care that's not my business but if you don't trust me-", "hey guys I think I found it", we hear Clary shout, we run over to her.

"Beloved servant, who puts that on their headstone", Clary asks, "someone who was detected to a cause greater then themselves", Alec says, "at least she is now", Jace says using his stele to open the box, him and Alec lift it aside revealing a couple daggers and blades. Clary picks up a blade, "don't touch that, you don't know how to use it", Alec says, "oh like how I killed a demon at that club", Clary retorts, "Alec, I'll show her the right way to use it", Jace says, "see what you need in here", "there is no bow here I need one", Alec says, "what about you Sarah", Jace asks, I put my hand over my rune making the bow and arrow appear, "I'm good but I'm going to go with Alec back to the institute", I say, Alec looked at me wide eyed, "wh-how", he asks, "my specialty", I say going on my tippy toes to kiss his cheek before pulling him away.

Me and Alec sneak back into the institute through the back, "stay here", Alec says, I nod staying in my place, I heard Alec talking to Hodge before returning with his bow and quiver, "Hodge catch you", I ask as we are walking towards DuMont, "almost", Alec says making me giggle, "you know your cute when you giggle like that", he says making me giggle again, "see right there", he says, "yeah and your incredibly sexy with everything you do", I say, he pulls me to him and kisses my forehead.
