Chapter 8

Sarah's POV
"Izzy we got your text where are we", Alec says as we climb the stairs to where she was, "it's an old meat packer service entrance it runs down her and we should come up to the basement of the hotel DuMort", Isabelle says, "that's perfect, we have time to distract the vamps and Clary and Jace have time to find Simon", I say getting her plan, "ok", was all Alec says, "ok really it was hard work interrogating Milliard for this information", Izzy says, "great job Izzy you have fairy dust on your dress and I hate being the distraction", Alec says sarcastically turning away, she looks at me and I shrug, "we don't", I say, "you know you would a lot happier if you were so repressed", Isabelle says only to be ignored, "Alec, hello", Isabelle says, she looks at me, "don't look at me like that I have no idea what his problem is", I say as we follow Alec. "Your really not going to talk to me are you", Isabelle asks, "that's because you don't know what your talking about", Alec replies, " but I do your hiding from yourself Alec not me, you have feeling weather you like them or not Alec", Isabelle says, "yeah I do have feelings for Sarah, she's my girlfriend", Alec says climbing up the latter, leaving a wide-eye'd Isabelle. "When were you going to tell me", she says, "when we were not rescuing a mundane from vampires", Alex snaps, we sneak in and get to a door, "this must be it", Isabelle says opening the door only to have vampires, we close the door quickly and press our backs to it, "well that could have went smother", Isabelle says, "any day now", I say to Alec who was pulling out his stele, "yeah well hold on", Alec says, Izzy takes the blade out of Alec's quiver and slices the pipe before putting it into the handle of the door and the pipe next to it, "whoever said the pen is mightier that the sword is and idiot", Isabelle says walking away from the door, I follow notching my bow, "when your right, your right", Alec says following  suit, "do you think they know where we are", I ask, "that's the idea right", Alec says, the vampires start trying to bust open the door, "how long do you think we can distract them for", Alec asks, "10 more minutes", Isabelle says, "10 minutes are you kidding, we can kill them in 5", I say, "so let's distract them", Isabelle says taking out her whip, "so let's distract them", Alec echoes, "you better get ready", Isabelle says, the vampires break through and we start killing them, Izzy with her whip and blade, me and Alec with our bows, some start hiding from us, "keep coming boys", Isabelle says as they attack.

We managed to get to the main room to see Clary and Jace being attacked, Alec shoots and arrow at the guy attacking Clary, the guy holds her in front but I thought ahead and shot the wall making sunlight stream through and the guy exploded. Clary and Jace kill the remaining two vampires, "I killed him", Clary says, Jace shrugged, "he was already dead", he says, "plus he wanted to kill you remember", I say, "she did great right", Isabelle says, "yeah you did you should be proud", Jace says, "thanks but it's not about me, let's go find Simon", Clary says.

We walk into a room to see Raphael with a knife to Simon's throat, "Simon", Clary cries out only to have Jace pull her back, "put it away I have had more than enough of your friend for one day, I'd love to cut his throat, don't give me a reason to. Put it away", Raphael says, we put our weapons down, "Simon are you alright", Clary asks, Simon was about to say something when Raphael cut him off, "now will you all just follow me", Raphael says, we follow him to the roof where he pushes Simon out before the sun kills him. We watch as Clary and Simon hug, Alec comes over and wraps his arms around me as I nuzzle my head into his chest, "well aren't you two oddly friendly", Jace jokes, Isabelle whispers something into Jace's ear, "what", he exclaims drawing attending from the two below us, "you and I, Sarah, are going to have a talk once we get back", Jace says in a threatening voice, I panic but Alec calms me down by rubbing my back, "it's going to be ok", he whispers pulling me slightly away, "I'm scared Alec, Jace has never been this stern with me", I say looking up at him, "shh don't cry I know Jace he won't do anything to you", Alec says wiping my tears, I nod as he takes my hand and we follow everyone back to the insitute.
