Chapter 29

Sarah's POV
I find Alec about to leave, "where you going", I ask, "Magnus texted, he said he needed to speak with me. Probably has information about Jocelyn, wanna come maybe I can take you to one of those mundane restaurants after", he asks, "wouldn't miss it for the world", I say as he takes my hand and we walk out of the institute.

We get to Magnus's apartment, "hello Magnus", Alec calls out, "said you needed to talk to me", "nice to see you Alec, Sarah", Magnus says walking into the room, "I wasn't sure if you'd come although you brought Sarah with you", he says a little disappointed, before we can respond Magnus snaps his fingers and a drink appears in Alec's hand, "you know I hate to drink alone", Magnus says going to clink glasses with Alec but he moves the glass away before placing it on the table, "we didn't come here to drink", Alec says, "do you have any information-", "about the warlock who casted a spell on Jocelyn Fakrchild. I'm looking into it but you and I, Alexander never get to finish our conversation after Izzy's trial, about your wedding", Magnus says, "there's no conversation to be had although things changed and I'm marrying Sarah instead of Lydia. You and I understand marriage very differently, I'm a Shadowhunter this is about family and tradition, honour", Alec says, "honour? Where's the honour of living a lie", Magnus says, "what are you talking about I love Sarah and of course I made a mistake, we all do since we are part human so back off", Alec says, "this is all just a game to you, isn't it? You flirt, you laugh, you use magic but at the end of the day what do you risk? Even if I did feel something for you I love Sarah and I wouldn't give it up for anything. I know I am making the right decision so I don't loose my family, career or anything else. You just don't get it", Alec rants, I place my hand on his chest to calm him down, "hey calm down, maybe some food will calm you down", I say, a small smile breaks out on Alec's face, "alright let's go", he says, I turn to apologize to Magnus but he was gone.

The next morning I wake up in Alec's arms, "morning my beautiful fiancé", he says kissing my nose, "morning ", I say, "come on we have a wedding to plan", Alec says pulling me out of bed, "no", I say giggling.

I managed to get ready and me and Alec stop by the room Lydia was staying in to see her packing, "leaving already", I say, "yeah, gotta take the cup to the Clave", she responds, "no stay for the wedding", I say, "really I couldn't", she says, "I insist, I owe you for wanting to sacrifice your dreams so that I can be happy", I say, "alright then if you insist", she says closing her suitcase.

We walk into the main room where Jace, Clary and Magnus were, "Magnus I didn't know you were here", Lydia says, "that was the point", Magnus mutters, "what's going on here, nobody told me about a meeting", Alec says, "Magnus found out that Ragnor Fell was the one who put the spell on my mom", Clary says, "how can we help", I ask, "we are just recovering a warlock Sarah, we got his", Jace says, "besides you have other more important things to worry about", Magnus says, I roll my eyes at his childish behaviour before walking away. Just then Isabelle walks up to me, "guess who's having a bachelorette party", she says excitedly, "let me guess me", I say, "yup then I am throwing a bachelor party for you Alec", Isabelle says, "no", Alec says, "I don't need one", "come on Alec it will be fun", Isabelle says, "yeah besides she's throwing a party for me she might as well do the same for you", I say, "alright fine", Alec says.

Isabelle leads me somewhere as after she puts a blindfold on me, "where are we going", I ask, "we are here", Isabelle says taking off the blindfold, I find myself in a club along with Isabelle, Lydia and Clary. The club was busy with mundanes and Downworlders, "oh boy", I mutter, "come on Sarah its your last night as a single woman own it, that's what a bachelorette party is about", Clary says grabbing my hand and pulling me to the dance floor. soon I start dancing with her, Lydia and Isabelle join us and we all start dancing, just then this tall Vampire guy comes up behind me, "what's a fine Shadowhunter like yourself doing here all alone", he asks trailing his fingers down my neck making me shiver in disgust, "oh you like that eh, how would you like-", I turn and grab his hand, "back off fangs, I'm here celebrating my bachelorette party so back the hell off", I snap pushing him back into his friends, he rolls his eyes before walking away. "Well that was weird", Lydia says making me nod, "hey Iz I know we are here to celebrate me but how do you plan on getting Alec and Jace together", I ask, "don't worry I got this", she says smirking, "oh boy", Clary says, we go and sit at a table in the VIP area since we know Magnus. "So Sarah I know this is a traditional Shadowhunter wedding but you need a maid of honour for any wedding", Clary asks, "I know and after a lot of thinking, Lydia I want you to be my maid of honour", I say, "are you serious", Lydia asks, "yes, if it weren't for you I wouldn't be getting married in the first place, so this is my thank you", I say, "aww I would be honoured", she says, "now all we have to do is get our brothers to make up", I say smirking to Isabelle.
