Meeting Destiny

I sit in the chair, my head in my hands. How did I let Jaden talk me into this? The entire thing is a bad idea. Jaden is sitting next to me grinning in excitement and tapping her fingers on her lap. Why would she even like this? Oh yeah, guys. That's why. I sigh so loudly that she turns towards me and shakes her head.

"Listen. I know this isn't your thing, but I want you to try it out. And since there are two of us, instead of just me, I didn't request my usual guy. I got the two that go together." After that, I want to do this even less. Why can't my best friend just leave me out of this? Just as Jaden finishes talking two guys sit down in front of us in sync. I expected two guys...not two twins. I won't be able to tell them apart, I'll make a fool of myself, then Jaden will never let me live it down. I lean back and cross my arms. This should be fun. The brothers lean forward and rest their chins on their hands...in sync. Gah, I hate twins.

"Hello ladies." They say in freaking sync. The twin in front of Jaden speaks.

"I'm Hikaru-"

"And I'm Kaoru." Finishes the twin in front of me. I look the brothers up and down. They have reddish brownish hair that's a little spiky. They have their hair parted in different directions, so I guess that helps me out a bit. They're a bit lanky in their purple school uniforms, but sturdy at the same time. They're eyes are a weird green/brown color. They're identical. The eyes of the one in front of Jaden, on the left, has a wild look in his eyes like he's got a really smart mouth. But...the one in front of me...his eyes...they're really deep and kind. I blink. Am I seriously falling for a guy based off his eyes? What's wrong with me? Ugh, I'm starting to act like every other girl in this school, falling for any attractive guy who walks by. I need to snap out of this and live in reality. I look over at Jaden and she grins at me, then turns to the twins. They're smiles widen...in freaking sync.

"Thank you for seeing us today!" Jaden tells them.

"Anything for you two princesses." They say in freaking sync.

"Worst pickup line ever." I groan. The twins look at me, slightly shocked. I guess they're used to girls fawning over them. I raise an eyebrow and they quickly recover.

"How about a game?" Hikaru asks. Jaden nods eagerly. She has a thing for puzzles and games. The brothers smile and pull out hats from who knows where and put them on their heads.

"Let's play the 'Which One is Hikaru' game!" They say in, you guessed it, sync.

The hats cover up which way they part their hair, so I can't use that to help me out. I would just go off where they're standing, but they "mixed" themselves up, so screw that. What about using their voices? They do have different voices. But they spoke together after they put the hats on. So what else do I have to go on? I glance at Jaden for help, but she seems slightly distracted. She's looking at a guy with black hair and glasses across the room. I look back at the twins. The eyes. I can distinguish them by their eyes. I stare at the eyes. I smirk. I've got it. I point to the one on the right.

"You're Hikaru." His eyes widen in shock...again. I look at Kaoru. His eyes aren't shocked, they're curious. I grin and stand up. The brothers look at each other like they're planning something. They take their hats off and start to sit down. Kaoru trips and bangs his head on the table. I roll my eyes at how fake it is. I've tripped enough times to know when it's real. Hikaru gasps and grabs his brother.

"Kaoru! Your head! All you alright?! It's all my fault!" The over dramatics make me want to puke. They're holding each other closely, like they're lovers or something.

"Aren't you two supposed to being wooing girls instead of each other? That's just messed up. Also if you're going to fake a trip, make it more realistic." I tell them in disgust. Hikaru looks like he wants to punch me. But Kaoru...he looks almost ashamed...and those eyes. I quickly shake the thought and compose myself.

"Well this has been fun but I have to go. Adios." I turn and walk away. I hear Jaden calling my name behind me, but I ignore her. I'm done. I gave it a chance, so now I never have to come back.
