What You Have Is Good

You realize what you have is good
When you've finally lost it
You realize that things were perfect
Until they were not
You realize that you loved someone
When they leave you

What you have is good
Don't make the same mistakes many have
Don't beg for more
Don't be oblivious to what you have
Don't worry about tomorrow
When today is standing right in front of you
Don't give everything important away
For something that won't last a day
Live in the moment
Live with the friends you have
Be content in all that you have, do, and are
Love who you've been, who you are, and who you will be
Because every second is a gift
Love it like it is.
