It began in my heart
Starting with a small flame
And spread throughout with a spark
I had no clue
What was happening
What would I do?
I jumped up and
My fingers brushed the stars
The sun's light tendrils
Flourished and fanned
My skin, scaring away the dark
The smile on my face
Was stationary
Gave me some sort of grace
Like a bride on her wedding day
I twirled and spun around
My fears were gone in an instant
And my laughter couldn't find solid ground
And for once, I couldn't say "I Can't"
My feet were as light as the air around me
Even as the rain soaked my hair and the sky was bursting with grey and gloom
