Fairy Tales
The thing that makes us so positive
The thing that makes us so dang envious
Envious of the life we know we could never have
Envious of the love we know we could never have
In fairy tales, everybody falls in love with the right person, and their love isn't unrequited.
In fairy tales, the good guy always gets the girl, and everyone is happy
In fairy tales, the girl is always rescued by the amazingly handsome Prince, and they ride off into the sunset.
But why can't those stupid fairy tales include
The girl saving the guy from destroying himself?
The villain actually be good and get the girl for once?
Real life examples of unrequited love, because it happens, and all we have to do is move on from the broken heart and use our freaking head?
It's not fair, the stupid fairy tales
And if it were possible, the fairy tales would re-write themselves and make it perfectly imperfect for the eyes which read them
So that we know that
Anything is possible
