Dallon woke up the sound of his phone ringing loudly on the bedside table. He groaned and answered it, yanking it away from his ear when he heard his mom's piercing voice blasting from it.
"Dallon! I told you to get all of your things from your room here, and you left a box! You need to come get it at once!" She all but yelled, and Dallon muttered a sleepy "Okay." Before hanging up.
Brendon had been awoken by the ringing as well, and he asked, "Who was that?"
"My mom." Dallon answered, rolling his eyes and rolling over to face Brendon again. "I left some things at the house, she wants me to come get them."
"What'd you leave?" Brendon asked, and Dallon shrugged. "I don't know, I can't remember."
"Why doesn't she just keep it?" Brendon asked.
"That's.. kind of a long story." Dallon said, sighing and rubbing his eyes. "My parents and I aren't really on good terms right now."
"Awe, baby. What happened?" Brendon asked, scooting over to Dallon and resting his head next to Dallon's on the pillow, entertwining their legs.
"Well.. last year, I visited them for thanksgiving, and they asked me just before I left why I didn't bring a girl. So I told them that I liked guys, thinking they'd understand... but they didn't. They're Mormons, and they pretty much disowned me." Dallon explained, sadness dripping from the words he spoke.
Brendon pulled himself closer to Dallon, pressing kisses to his neck and jaw. "I'm sorry baby, they're dicks."
Dallon laughed shortly and nodded. "I love them to death, but damn... I just really thought they wouldn't have a problem with it."
Brendon nodded, rolling on top of Dallon's body. "Well, fuck 'em. They're missing out on being able to be around you." He said, kissing Dallon's neck.
"Mmh. Yeah." Dallon said, distracted as Brendon sucked on a spot just below Dallon's jawline. His soft lips and tongue expertly moved against Dallon's skin, leaving a red and purple mark in their wake.
Dallon could feel the crotch of his pants seeming to grow tighter, so he moved his head down to kiss Brendon's lips before pulling back. "I need to go. Do you want to come?"
Brendon nodded, kissing Dallon's lips again before climbing off of him, grabbing some clothes and walking into the bathroom. "I'm gonna take a shower right quick." He said.
"I need one too." Dallon said, and Brendon raised an eyebrow. "Wanna join me?" He asked.
Dallon rolled his eyes, and Brendon laughed. "There's another bathroom in the hallway, there's a shower in there. Don't use up all the hot water."
Dallon smiled and walked out of the bedroom.

When the two were both done showering and getting ready, they met up in the living room. Dallon wore the same clothes from the day before, and Brendon wore a tank top and skinny jeans. They got into Dallon's car and buckled up, and Dallon turned up the radio, and Brendon smiled as Sinatra played through the speakers.
They talked and laughed all the way to Dallon's parents' house two towns over, and when they got there, Brendon noticed that Dallon seemed a little unsettled.
"Hey Dal, it'll be alright in there. Just grab your stuff and come back out. It's probably best for me just to wait out here."
Dallon nodded and pulled down the mirror on the visor in front of him to fix his hair. He noticed the hickies that Brendon left on his neck, and he sighed. "They're gonna see those marks all over my neck." He said.
Brendon smiled and shrugged. "Well, I can't help that you like for me to do that so much."
Dallon rolled his eyes but smiled over at Brendon before he kissed him, then got out of the car. He walked up the short sidewalk to the front door, and rang the doorbell. The door opened a few seconds later, and his mother stood about a foot short than him, as always. She gave him a tight-lipped smile and moved aside, allowing him to step inside. His dad must have been at work, because he wasn't home.
He made his way to his old bedroom, and one box sat on the floor. He picked it up and carried it back towards the front door.
"Dallon?" His mother said after he sat the box down to open the door. He turned and looked at her, scared of what she had to say.
"Yes ma'am?" He responded weakly.
His mother stepped forwards and wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a hug. He was shocked, but he returned the action.
"I love you." His mother said, smiling up at him with tears in her eyes. "No matter what. Please forgive me for what I've said in the past, I was... influenced by your father."
Dallon smiled softly down at his mother, her hair graying and her eyes filled with tears behind her glasses. "I love you too. And I forgive you." He said.
"If that's your boyfriend waiting for you out in your car, I'd love to meet him." She said. Dallon's smile grew wider at that, and he nodded. "Y-yeah. I'll go get him."
He opened the front door and picked up the cardboard box and carried it out to the car. Brendon saw him coming, and jumped out to open the back door for Dallon to put the box inside. Dallon thanked him and said, "Bren? My mom apologized. She wants to meet you."
Brendon looked scared at first, but he realized how much this meant for Dallon. He smiled and said, "I'd love to meet her too."
Dallon took Brendon's hand and led him to the door of his childhood home, where his mom waited with a smile on her face.
Brendon followed Dallon inside, their fingers laced together. Dallon's mom was pretty, Brendon thought, with blue eyes like Dallon and the same brown hair. She was short, so Brendon figured that Dallon must have gotten his height from his father.
"Oh, look at you." His mother said, tears in her eyes and her voice cracking. "You're so handsome, you're adorable.." she pulled Brendon into a hug and he gladly accepted it, wrapping his arms around her.
"Dallon, I love you so much. And, uh..."
"Brendon." Dallon said.
"Brendon! Welcome to the family." She finished. "My little baby is all grown up." She wiped tears from the corners of his eyes, and Brendon looked over to Dallon to see that his eyes were glassy as well.
"Bren and I are going to leave mom, I love you." Dallon said, hugging his mother again.
"I love you too Dallon. Please come around for holidays. I'll talk some sense into your father. " She said, and Dallon kissed her cheek before taking Brendon's hand and walking back to the car.
