Dallon and Brendon had spent the past couple of days in the house. Brendon just didn't feel like leaving, and Dallon wasn't willing to try and force him. So they stayed home and watched TV or dumb YouTube videos that Brendon laughed at, or they lied in bed together and talked. It was kind of nice actually, just the two of them. It was sort of cold in the house, though, because even though it was December, Brendon insisted that they keep the heat on low because he liked it to be chilly so that he could bundle up in blankets.
Christmas was only a few days away, and Dallon's mother was already texting him about the Christmas party at her house, inviting him and Brendon and telling them to bring a dessert.
"I just saw a recipe for chocolate cake on Instagram!" Brendon said when he read the text over Dallon's shoulder. "I'm on it!"
Dallon went to the kitchen to supervise as Brendon dragged out several ingredients and a mixing bowl. He sat his phone on the counter and read the directions out loud to Dallon, as the taller took a seat on top of the counter at watched Brendon.
"Mix until well blended." Brendon said, stirring the batter with a big spoon. "Taste to make sure it's good." He said, dipping his finger in the brown batter and holding it out to Dallon, who didn't think twice before wrapping his lips around Brendon's index finger and sucking the batter off of it.
"How is it?" Brendon asked.
"Good." Dallon said. "Hopefully I won't get salmonella from the raw eggs."
"I'll eat some too to make you feel better." Brendon said, tasting the batter and making an 'mm' sound as he poured it into the pan. "Now we can be deathly ill together."
Dallon laughed and Brendon adjusted the oven to the directions on his phone, then kissed Dallon's lips before running to the bedroom. Dallon chased him, giggling when he got to the room just in time to see Brendon launch himself onto the bed. "What are you doing?" He asked the smaller man, who was wrapping himself in their blankets like a burrito.
"Join me." Brendon said, and Dallon rolled his eyes but got in the bed as well, even though Brendon was hogging all the covers.
"You have all the blankets." Dallon said.
"You have to fight me for them." Brendon challenged, the part of his face that was visible above the covers was showing a smug little smirk. Dallon raised his eyebrows and grabbed the blankets, jerking them and causing Brendon to roll and scream.
Dallon giggled and shoved Brendon over, pulling the blankets over to himself. "Not fair, you're stronger than me!" Brendon whined as he curled up next to Dallon, who graciously shared the covers with his boyfriend.
"All's fair in love and war." Dallon said.
"And which one is this?" Brendon asked.
Dallon smiled. "War." He said, and jerked all of the covers off of the bed and sending Brendon tumbling across the mattress. He ran out of the bedroom with the blankets gathered in his arms and into the living room. Brendon stumbled down the hall and into the living room as well, smirking at Dallon who was lying on the carpet with all of the blankets around him.
"You don't win that easily!" Brendon exclaimed, and jumped onto the couch, diving down and tackling Dallon to the floor. Dallon yelped and tried to crawl away, but his long legs got tangled in the blankets and Brendon pinned him to the floor, straddling his waist and pressing a quick kiss to the taller's lips. As soon as he pulled back though, Dallon grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him back down to kiss him again, making quick work of sliding his tongue into his mouth. Dallon's hands slid down Brendon's sides and to his ass, as Brendon tangled his fingers in Dallon's hair. Suddenly though, Brendon pulled back and sat up, looking towards the kitchen.
