"Bren, oh my god.."
Dallon stood up and walked to Brendon's side of the table. Brendon was crying, tears dripping down his cheeks and chin, landing on his shirt and half-eaten breakfast. Dallon pulled Brendon's chair back from the table and pulled him up into his arms. He didn't give Brendon a chance to stand and walk on his own before he heaved him up off of his feet, lifting him into his arms.
He carried the sniffling boy to the couch, and sat down with him in his lap. Brendon buried his face in the crook of Dallon's neck, his tears and nose instantly soaking Dallon's skin. Maybe it was kind of gross, but Dallon couldn't care less as he held Brendon close, stroking patterns into the skin of his hip with his fingers.
"Brendon, I'm so, so sorry.." Dallon said softly into Brendon's ear. "I'm so sorry you had to go through all of this baby, I'm so sorry."
Brendon didn't respond, he only pressed his face into the taller man's neck more, and sniffed loudly. His hands found their way around Dallon's neck, and he wrapped himself around Dallon's body more securely. The taller man kissed Brendon's skin softly, trailing kisses down the side of his slightly stubbly face. "I love you so much Brendon, you're my everything." Dallon mumbled, speaking between soft, chaste kisses.
"I love you Dallon." Brendon said, his voice broken and hoarse. He was sad, he always had been; but being here, wrapped in Dallon's arms, made him feel loved. It made him feel safe and loved.
He'd found the perfect thing to fill the empty hole in his heart and mind. The hole that his parents left behind when they were torn away, and the hole that Ryan only made bigger by doing what he did. Dallon filled that space, Dallon made him happy. Dallon made him forget about his fucked up past, and made him wonder about their future together.
He smiled despite the tears on his cheeks. Any tears in his eyes were now tears of joy, tears of extreme happiness and love. "Dallon, I love you so fucking much, oh my god. Please never leave me."
Dallon was a little confused, but he shook his head. "Never, I'll never leave you Bren, you mean too much."
Brendon's smile grew, and he even let out a little giggle through the tears. Dallon's eyes were filling with tears, his emotions were out of control. He didn't know how to explain it; it was like a mixture of every emotion ever. He was so mad at the way Brendon had been treated by people in the past, he was so sad because of what Brendon had experienced, he was so happy because he was in love. "I'm so in love with you." He said, smiling down at the boy in his arms.
Brendon pulled back from Dallon a little, reaching out a hand and wiping away the wetness on Dallon's shoulder and neck, where he'd pressed his face while he cried. "Sorry Dal, that's gross." He said, letting out an embarrassed laugh.
"It's okay, baby." Dallon said, his eyes glued to Brendon as he moved, settling himself back in Dallon's arms after he'd wiped away the moisture. Dallon lifted a hand and swiped his thumb under Brendon's eyes, pushing the tears away from his face. Brendon smiled back up at Dallon, and lifted his head to give the taller a short kiss on the lips.
"Do you wanna go and get ice cream?" Dallon asked after a few moments.
Brendon nodded, smiling that childish smile that he usually had, and jumping up from Dallon's lap to change out of his sweatpants and into something decent. Dallon laughed at his excitement and stood up, picking up his dirty shirt from the floor and carrying it with him to the bedroom as he went to change as well.
Brendon had pulled on a pair of shorts and a tshirt, and was fixing his hair in the mirror. Dallon noticed it was getting a little long, and he remembered that his was as well; they needed to get their hair cut.
He tossed the shirt into the hamper and pulled on a clean one, following it up with a pair of jeans. He put his glasses on as well, because why not? Then the two of them made their way out to the car, hand in hand, and Dallon drove them to the nearest ice cream parlor called Sweets.
