Brendon pulled his knees up to his chest, fear taking over as he looked up at Ryan, who he knew was capable of so much. Ryan had so much power over Brendon. Not only physically, (especially with the help of Travis and Jon, and who knows who else) but also mentally. Ryan knew how to make Brendon feel like he was worthless, like his feelings meant nothing. Like he wasn't valid. Like he deserved everything that happened to him.
"Ryan.. why am I here?" Brendon asked, trying to sound calm even though on the inside, his mind was screaming at him to run. He knew he wouldn't get far.
Ryan stepped closer, kneeling down in front of Brendon.
"I missed you, Bren." He said. "You left me. All alone, with nobody. And I've tried to find someone else, I've tried to move on.. but there's no one in this world like you. That's why I have to have you for myself."
Ryan was a manipulative person, and Brendon knew this. Even though Ryan was complimenting him, he knew it was only to build him up so that it was easier to tear him down later. He knew Ryan was trying to make him feel bad for leaving him.
"You moved on so quickly, though. You always were sort of a slut, I guess." Ryan said. "You left me, and then all of a sudden you were with him."
Brendon shuddered.
"How do you think that made me feel, Bren? You just leaving me, and getting with someone so soon after?"
"It wasn't even that soon after, Ryan. I didn't date anyone for a long time after you. Because of how you treated me." Brendon shot back.
Ryan looked mad for a second, but then his expression melted into something Brendon couldn't quite place. "Well, I'll treat you better now, Brendon. If you cooperate."
"You can't just keep me here." Brendon said, tugging at the ropes around his wrists.
Ryan smiled. "I can. And after a while, you won't even want to leave." And with that, he turned and left, and Brendon heard the door lock behind him.
Brendon thought about Dallon, and how worried he probably was. How long had he even been gone? He could see light through the windows, but there was no telling how long he had been out. He was hungry, and he wondered if Ryan was going to let him eat.
Dallon was probably so worried about him. He was probably out looking for him, he probably had already called all of their friends. Brendon had no idea where he even was right now. This wasn't Ryan's house.
He wished his hands weren't tied together, his arms were really starting to get sore from being bent back at an awkward angle for so long. He sighed and let his head fall back against the wall.

The police had questioned the bartender about what he saw, and were currently in the process of getting back the footage from the security cameras.
Pete was with Dallon at the house, and Spencer had even joined them. Dallon wanted to drive around and look for Brendon, but after telling the cops about the whole Ryan situation, they told him it was better for him to stay home, in case Ryan was out to get him, too. So he sat on the couch, nervously chewing the inside of his cheek. He was honestly freaking out. He had no idea where Brendon was, or what was happening to him. He could only imagine the worst as he pictured Brendon's beautiful face in his head.
Why would Ryan do this? So soon before Christmas? Dallon had all of Brendon's presents hidden and waiting for Christmas morning, including the wedding ring in his sock drawer. He hadn't really thought through how he would propose to Brendon, but he was thinking about doing it on Christmas. So much for that.
He had to focus to keep his hands from shaking, and all he wanted to do was yell and scream and cry all at the same time. He felt completely powerless, and he was.
