Part 15

I wake up to the chirping of the British birds and the swaying of the big oak trees.
Then I remember I'm in the middle of the woods with no contact with anyone.
Then I remember that a camera crew follow my every move.
Then I remember that Zosia has too spent the night alone.
Then I remember that I'm an idiot.
I get up and chuck my jacket back on and tie my laces back up and start walking.
I stop.
I catch something in the bottom left corner of my eye.
I turn to see a thin, tired and lost looking girl hidden in the depth of the large oak tree. Her skin was a pale white while her hair was in a loose messy bun.
Her eyelids protected her eyes from the beaming sunlight.
She is shivering and I can't help know that all of this is my fault.
I sign in relief and run over to the figure.
I sit next to her while she sleeps, wrapping my jacket around her.
She seems so small and fragile, nothing like her usual self.
Eventually she wakes.
Her eyes peel open and she stretches out her tiny limbs.
I don't even think she notices I'm there for a short while.
'So you came for me then.' Her voice quivers.
'I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said. I promise.' I plead.
She shakes her head and laughs a little.
'It took you a while, to come looking for me.' She frowns.
'Dom told me not to.' I reply.
'And you listened to Dom because...'
'Because I don't want to upset a man who happens to be the love of my life's best friend.' I burst.
'No. You can't keep mistreating me then saying you love me and think it makes everything better.' She decides.
'Please. You don't even know what I was going to say!' I reply.
'Oh I would love to hear any excuse. Please, proceed.' She coos.
'No, don't worry. See you in camp.' I say before sadly walking back to the camp alone.
Leaving the woman I love alone.
All that time she was right behind me in the big oak tree.
Zosia.
