Part 25

Zosia's POV

'Come on, it's not too bad.' Ollie beckons me into the lake.
'Not too bad!!' I say dipping my toe into the nippy water.
Ollie rolls his eyes and goes under water for a few seconds.
A minute. 'Ollie?' I say.
A few minutes. 'Ollie!' I scream worriedly.
'What?' I hear his voice.
I relax and am about to turn around to greet him..
'Ollie!!!' I squeal.
He is in fits of laughter as I am flapping about in the freezing pool.
I watch him dive in and swim over to me.
He grabs me and pulls me along the water across the the side and lifts me onto the dirt.
'Saved.' He smiles.
I can't stay mad at him for long. I'm mad about him. His pearly whites beam at me and baby blues capture me.
I place my arms over his shoulders and he pulls me back into the water.
He spins me around a few times.
After I feel I could throw up from dizziness.
We stay there for a while, gazing into each others eyes and enjoying our last few days in the jungle.
He leans over to my ear. 'I love you.' He whispers.
I smile. 'I love you too.' I say, grazing my lips against his.
'Please teach me how to dive so impressively into the water?' I plead.
Ollie laughs. 'Come on then.'
I follow him out of the cold water.
'Start with your hands behind you and as you run closer to the edge, pull them forward and touch both hands like this.' He demonstrates.
I copy him.
'Great. Right now keep your head in line with your hands and Spring off your good foot ingot the water.' He does as he says as I watch.
'Ok I'll give it a go.'
I pull my arms infront and Spring off my right foot into the water.
'Perfect.. are you sure you haven't done that before?' He says.
'Pfft no..' I lie.
He splashes me.
'I just wanted to see you. It's very impressive.' I smile.
'Well I was a county swimmer.' He says.
'Really?' I ask.
'Yes!' He protests.
'Ok OK I was just asking.' I laugh.
He splashes me.
'Ah!' I scream, splashing him back, twice.
'Zosia March how dare you.' He laughs, grabbing my hips and placing me on his leg.
And I fall in love with him all over again.
