"Ow! Damnit Kenzie stop being pissed at me as you pull shards of wood from my cut." i snapped.

She glared at me. "You shouldve waited for me!"

she stabbed my cut with light force but it still hurt!

"Ow! Stop it!" i snapped.

"You ok?"

we turned to the doorway where Archer stood with a worried expression.

"Fine other then the fact that someone keeps stabbing me with tweezers!" i glared at Kenzie.

"Mabe if these damn things werent so huge and deep it ur skin!" she snapped back. "And dont get snippy with me!"

"Ok, mom ill stop being snippy if you stop trying to make a clean hole straight through my arm."

she rolled her eyes and dug into my arm to get a big piece out and i cringed from the pain, flexing my arm unintentionally.

"Damnit Kenzie!" i growled.

She sighed and seemed to acknowledge Archer again and turned to him. "Hey could you come hold her down?"

he blinked. "What?"

"She keeps flexing and if she does the shard might get even more buried into her arm and cause an infection."

"Not my fault." i pouted and tried to cross my arms over my chest only to cringe at the soreness of my arm.

"Please Archer." Kenzie begged.

"Um, sure." he walked over and i sighed laying my arm down on the table.

"Hold down her wrist with one hand and her shoulder with the other." Kenzie instructed.

I resisted a blush that threatened to heat my cheeks. I hated letting Archer see me so weak but its difficult to stay strong with large shards of bloody wooden stuck deep in your arm and an inexperianced "medic" stabs cold metal tweezers into my bloody wound!

Archer did as he was told and i forced myself to ignore the sparks from his touch. I really hate this stupid mates thing. Most mates never meet! But hope and pray they do. Id give anything to be one of the ones that havent found their yet. It isnt fair. Why did i have to get the asshole as a mate?

"Might not want to look." Kenzie told me pulling me from my thoughts.

I sighed and turned my head to the wall. The cold metal of the tweezers jabbed into my skin but deeper then before and as a reflex i threw my arm up dispite Archer's hold.

"God damnit Kenzie!" i shouted.

She grinned and held up the tweezers which held a large bloody wooden shard. "Got it."

i glared at her and looked down at my uper then sighed again. "And you cut a blood vessel." i said.

She looked down and winced. "Oops." was all she said to the blood flowing from my arm. "Ill go find a first aid kit." she said before leaving.

I rolled my eyes and grabbed a towel sitting on the table and pressed it against the wound and winced with pain.

"God, Harmony are you ok?" Archer asked.

"Yes Archer. I was chased by a dozen zombies, fell on a rotting tree stump while being attacked by a zombie then coming back only to get my blood vessel cut and my blood just slip out. Im just great!" i growled from the pain, sacarisum dripping from my tone.
